Azhure Darkstone

::Azhure tapped onto the physical keyboard, preferring something solid and better for cracking codes for getting into restricted areas. She had something on her mind today and continued tapping, the only sound in the GJO library, like she had been the last few nights. It was 3 am at night and most were asleep, she couldn’t sleep. She hacked into the Correllian birth records, why the birth records? That unanswerable question. Where was she from? What race was she? A question that never seemed important but the importance of it seemed to grow. She needed to understand herself a little more to... she didn’t know why she needed to know. It just was. There were records for many and she didn’t even know if her birth record existed, or Matthias’s. Dante Darkstone. Nothing. Dante…a million Dante’s. January the 5th. Millions of Dante's. Melendrin. 5th January. Millions of Melendrin's. The problem was she didn’t even know her surname, if they possessed one it had never been spoken.
Matthias would have as little idea as she herself had but still she persevered. There must be SOMETHING. There had to be or she would go mad.

In frustration she typed in ‘Angel of Death’ for the birth records. Crazy thing to do and the Correllian law enforcement would immediately be alerted if she was busted. Nothing. Nothing. Nothing. wait. There was a poem. A blasted poem but no name for a mother or father, no details whatsoever. A poem: ‘Only in the darkness can you see the stars’. That was all? She felt like smashing the entire holo computer into tiny dust particles, but only put her head in her hands. No tears of course, just that silent feeling of dispair. Nothing tonight, not last night, not the night before. She should probably tell Matthias she was trying to track down birth records, it was his right but she had never gotten around to telling him. Why? Perhaps because she felt uncomfortable in doing so. There was nothing.
Azhure exited the Birth Database as she detected someone trying to locate her and wiped her inquiry on the holonet from the computers memory.

She smashed her hand down on the table unconsciously and hit it so hard the side of the table splintered, one splinter going into her skin. Biting back an unnecessary comment she inspected the table damage and wondered how she would explain it to those in charge of the library. Not one damned shred of evidence that she had been born or even existed. Plenty of fake ID’s and fake names, and plenty of ways to get fake ID’s but she didn’t even possess a real ID. No Melendrin anywhere. The splinter would have to come out, and the blood would have to be wiped off the table before she left this room full of knowledge she did not need.::
