I hate California's Governer.

Yes, the genious that he is, he passed a bill raising the price of car registerations (as if Californians don't have ENOUGH to pay). So, now, it's 3 times the amount the people of CA would normally be paying. So if you have a 3 or 4 year old car, and you lived in CA, you be paying for the registeration renewal as though it were brand new (and lets not even talk about the registeration for BRAND NEW cars). |I

And THEN, after the reports came in on how much it was going to be, he had the audacity to say "Well, I didn't think it'd be that high." Like THAT'S suppose to make me feel better?! :mad

And about a few months ago, he said he was going to see if he could get it lowered (my guess is so that ppl wouldn't try to assassinate him or to get good points for the election... yeah right... too little too late). And, he's done nothing yet about it even thought he said he would. Boy, am I surprised.:rolleyes

:grumble

And to get to the point of this rant... I have to pay 500 freakin dollars for my registeration renewal! That's MORE than what was paid for the registeration when the car was first bought! :verymad

:|

:cry

:mad

Is there any room out there in the other states for lil ol me? I'm starting to get sick of California's apparent "lets-bleed-the-CA-people-dry" policies.

(Hey charley! Do you still do hits? :lol)

I'll agree the other canidates aren't much to look at, but I feel a few of them, especially some of the ones at the top of the runnings, will actually get things DONE as opposed to sitting on their hineys all day and saying they will do something and then not.

Move to Florida. We don't have very many taxes, we don't have a state income tax, it's pretty hot in the summer, but that can work your way also. We have the beaches, the resorts, the Theme parks, the recreation parks, the NFL Football teams, everything about Florida is great except for Miami. What a rat hole.

Or just stay north of Orlando. The south is a cuban annex.

Or move to South Florida anyways, & join your kin. Viva la Revolution! :shootin :shootin :shootin

California will eventually drop into the ocean. That would be neat...

I'm JOKING! Well maybe I am, and maybe I am not.

CO car reg. was $100-something this year (for a renewal) on my 2000. Not tooooo bad. NEW reg. was about $275. Having a car is a super-expense.

Try to live as long as you can on the Nike Express.

In Wisconsin, new car registration is about $75 I think. It's about $45 for a previously registered car (that's what I paid for my re-registration this past summer, anyway).

That, and there's plenty cheese, bratwurst and beer. :)

Move to Sweden. Despite being a dirt-poor country in comparison to Luxembourg or the U.S., they have the highest percentage of internet users in the world, at 67.7% of the population. And then there's the matter of ultra-cheap 100Mbps internet.

I don't know that you could actually communicate with the mythical native inhabitants, though. They speak some funny language that is not our own precious hexidecimal ebonics, and is called swedese or communist or something, and the womenfolk have sideways breasts and helmets crafted of bronze.

* Rasies hand to assassinate Gray Matter, I mean Gray Davis. *

I'll do it free of charge. I truly loath that man, if a man is what you could call him. Hopfully they won't push back the election date again. so we can get that p.o.s. out of office and get someone in there that might actually do their job.

California needs to be just divided in two, then we can sink the southern half and all be much more happy. I know I would. All I got to say is thank god I got out of that place.

Just don't live near Orlando, period. They are building suburbs outside of suburbs that were built outside of suburbs that were built outside of suburbs.
Live over here in Lakeland, or live in Longboat Key, or Naples, or Key Largo, or Key West. It may actually be better if you don't live north of Orlando, because the top half of Florida is boring.......

Not the southern half... that's where I'm stationed. ^_^;

Though I do hate the northern half. I've got this theory that the probs CA are having are prob due to San Fran being in existance. Of course, this is all in theory and most likely in my head. ^_^;

I know we have freaks in this state (I'm one of them, remember? :p) But I wouldn't want to nuke the whole state... just parts of it.
