My Picks and comments...hope you don't mind

Sunday, Early

NY Jets at New England(W)- Testaverde is too old. Way too old.

Kansas City(W) at Houston- Being such a huge Dolphin fan part of me really wants Houston to do good just to show everyone that the Dolphins lost to a good team as opposed to a horrible one....Unfortunently that wont happen.

Tampa Bay(W) at Atlanta- Tampa's gonna be pissed....

Pittsburgh(W) at Cincinnati- They're still the Bengals

Minnesota(W) at Detroit- Minnesota is looking real strong.

New Orleans at Tennessee(W)- New Orleans is sooo overrated.

Jacksonville at Indianapolis(W)- They impressed me last week...

Sunday, Late

St. Louis at Seattle(W)- Upset? Not really. The Seahawks are actually pretty good and the Rams are iffy.

NY Giants(W) at Washington- Just like the Bucs, they'll be pissed.

Green Bay(W) at Arizona- HAHAHAHA

Baltimore(W) at San Diego- Baltimore was strong last week...then again when your back runs for 290 yards you tend to do that.

Cleveland(W) at San Francisco- *Upset* I gotta throw an upset pick every week might as well be this one....

Sunday Night

Buffalo at Miami(W)- Note to Jedieb...never pick against my Dolphins. EVER! :D

Monday Night

Oakland at Denver(W)- Oakland was lucky last week and Denver's too good.

Sene, Kyle, if I pick Miami to win they're DOOMED! :cool

I'm changing my Jets/Pats pick. The Pats lost their free agent LB, Colvin for the SEASON. Ted Johnson is also out. I think the Jets may rally around Vinny and Curtis Martin and pull this one out on the road.

Friggin' Fins.......... |I

The Dolphins look really good so far. The defense is playing its best game of the season so far. Ricky is running well and the Bills defense has been on the field far too long. There's still a lot of time left but with the way the Dolphins are playing on both sides of the ball and my picking against them things are looking good for the Dolphins. Friggin' Fins....|I

Jedi Master Carr
Sep 21st, 2003, 08:29:02 PM
My Chiefs looked good again, man they have some trouble in the first half and then go out and have a blow out, looking good so far. That Baltimore game looks to be a big game for both teams, Its Holmes return to Baltimore I suspect a big game for him :)

Figrin D'an
Sep 21st, 2003, 08:49:03 PM
Those were two of the worst throws Fiedler could have made. The first one was a pick... bad call by the officials on that one. The second one was partially on the receiver for not spoting the ball, but still... bad, bad decisions by the QB. Just like that, the Bills have life.

Ryan Pode
Sep 21st, 2003, 09:01:08 PM
Too bad Kansas City will lose. :D

Jedi Master Carr
Sep 21st, 2003, 09:18:34 PM
Yeah you wish. I actually am a little worried about that game but still I think Holmes might come back angry for the Ravens releasing him :) Also KC defense is a lot better than last year, they have one of the best rushing defenses and I don't Baltimore can throw the ball.

Figrin D'an
Sep 21st, 2003, 10:06:22 PM
I need to quit picking San Diego... man, their defense is absolutely horrid. Tomlinson might have a bad year because they're going to be playing from behind so much and will be forced to throw the ball.

Green Bay got exposed. The Packers really didn't play horribly, unlike against Minnesota. They just played extremely conservative, and got beat. Bad, bad loss. I'm not optimistic about the rest of the season for them. They have no identity on offense.

Daiquiri Van-Derveld
Sep 21st, 2003, 10:42:26 PM

Looks like it was a generally awful week for us fantasy football people. Point totals are waaaaaay down this week.

jjwr
Sep 22nd, 2003, 04:33:20 AM
8 and fricken 5.....man I sucked this week and this was after starting 7-0. What I really need to stop doing is varying my picks so much in the 3 pools I do, I figure between all 3 pools I'll catch the upsets but all I end up doing is hosing one pool as I had Phins, Giants, etc in the other 2.

And to top it off my Fantasy team has a bye week and all my players came up gold this week! Freaking Collins waits till my bye week to throw 3TD's with no INT's....

At least the Pats won, thats enough to cover over any fantasy nasties :D

Nathanial K'cansce
Sep 22nd, 2003, 10:25:01 AM
Best week thus far, so I'm ahppy. And doubt I'll lose my match up in the Fans fantasy league by the end of the night, so 3-0 w00tw00t.

As opposed to my 0-3 team in the other yahoo leagye I'm in.

Speaking of which, the fantasy points thjat are tallyed are, on average, 4 points higher than the ones we have in the Fans league for the same characters.

Like, Hassleback scored me 16.50 points in our league, and in the other scored someone 23.04 points.

Moulds scored me 1 here while he scored three for me in the other league....

And Cullpepper scored 14 points here, while scoring 17 in the other.

Same stats and everything. Very irked about this.

Jedi Master Carr
Sep 22nd, 2003, 11:35:14 AM

I had fun watching my Bucs slap the Falcons around. If it wasn't for that damn fumble the Bucs D still wouldn't have allowed a TD. Sapp's TD dance was a crime against the art of dance and one of the funniest things I've ever seen in an end zone.

The Dolphins looked great last night. They looked like the team I had picked to represent the AFC in the Superbowl. The Bills D looked good as well, especially when you consider how much time they spent on the field and how much of a pounding Ricky and the Dolphins offensive line gave them. But the Bills lack of a running game is going to plague them all season long. They need to get that sorted out or teams are just going to drop back into zones and wait for Bledsoe to make a mistake.

The Seahawks game was pretty good. Their defense has really improved and Hasslebeck(sp?) looks much better than he did 2 years ago. The Rams? The Greatest Show on Turf is now officially over IMO. Oh, they'll still show flashes of brilliance every once in awhile, but they're no longer the best offense in the league. That went off with their former coach to KC.

I think the NFC East may end up going to Washington. After watching Ramsey a couple of times this year I think Spurrier has found a QB more than capable of running his offense. He looks great for a second year starter. They lost yesterday, but they showed a lot of heart in coming back from a big deficit. The only thing that saved the G-Men from another collapse was the coin toss. As the season plays itself out I think the Giants are going to find themselves chasing the Skins for the division.

HA HA the Niners lost!:wings

WHO would have thought the Cards could beat the Pack? Or Cleveland over the 9ers?

Well I got one of the two right! :D

And as for the bronco-raiders...so far so good. :)

Jedieb
Sep 22nd, 2003, 08:59:49 PM
Plummer looks better than I've ever seen him. His mechanics are still a bit iffy, but not nearly as bad as earlier this season. The Raiders look OLD. Without Porter they're just too slow to threaten the Broncos D. This game could really get ugly if the Broncos score to open up the half.

Sene Unty
Sep 22nd, 2003, 09:05:53 PM
and they do.....heh

Figrin D'an
Sep 22nd, 2003, 09:08:29 PM
Yeah... this game is over. Oakland can barely move the ball, and they can't stop Denver at all. Even without Portis and Smith, the Broncos are still dominating in every area.

I have to agree with Jedieb... ever since the preseason, the Raiders have looked old and slow. Some people claim it's still the hangover from getting crushed in the Super Bowl by Tampa Bay, but that's ridiculous, IMO. Oakland didn't makes any moves to get better in the offseason, and it's showing badly. They're done as a contender until they dump some of those aging players and rebuild.

Sene Unty
Sep 22nd, 2003, 09:12:35 PM
They are making the Broncos look amazing....

The biggest problem I see is the speed factor. The Raiders have none and the Broncos have tons. They are managing to make this look like the Super Bowl all over again.

Jedi Master Carr
Sep 22nd, 2003, 09:34:20 PM
The Raiders are done, IMO and as a Chief fan I am happy :) Still this game was difficult for me I despise both teams (though I hate the Raiders more), I guess now if both win next weekend that Week 5 matchup will be the best two in the division. Right now I think KC is better than Denver, of course that could change in two weeks.

I think there's something to the Superbowl hangover. It's just one of the many things plaguing the Raiders right now. They may still be able to split some games with KC and Denver by winning at home, but I think there in no shape to win that division. If things don't shape up they'll probably miss the playoffs. Either way, this team is going to get broken up after this season is over. I don't see how they can keep them together.
