View Full Version : About my characters abilities

As some of you may or may not know, I joined the GJO with a very good knowledge of the force, but just about no ability with the light saber. And since I'm pretty new to these boards I don't want to start of very good.

But enable for me to keep my background I can't just say I am brand new to the force, however I have an idea that would work.

Since I have been a sith (in my background anyway) my force powers are more attuned to the darkside than the light. And enable for me to overcome the urges of the darkside I would have to "rebuild" my connection with the force. Sort of like tear down my dark side abilities with the force to a base, then start afresh building them back up to the light. Something along those lines.

Just thought I'd share this as I know people don't like new people that are skilled, but I wouldn't either. Any feedback is welcome.

Thanks for sharing that, I'm sure it will clear up some issues when you get to training. :)

And thanks for actually planning that out. ;) Thinking = Good!

That plan should work well. It balances your need for a background story with the need to train from the beginning in the use of the Force.

Thinking = Good, Planning = Bonus good.

These two things will get you lots of brownie points with the experienced members. ;)

That's quite worrying actually, that we're winking at him. He's going to think we're hitting on him.

:lol

I'm impressed with your planning skillz, Ace. And I like the idea very much.

And instead of a ;) from me, you get a :headbash so as to deflate some of the bloated ego from all the praise in this thread. Oh, did I mention you also get a :p and :D after that hammering?

I actually had gathered as much, reading through a few of your threads.

Like others, the fact you put some truth thought into your background in ways that doesn't nessisarly make things easier for your character to play things out impressed me... one of the reasons I volenteered.
