Not escape, no. We have to flush out the real culprit.

I wouldn't mind springing her. Seems like something my character would do anyway. As an illusionist (I assume normal jail) it shouldn't be hard to get in and out, anyway. I can do light illusions instead of normal ones, so cameras wouldn't be a problem either. A smash and grab, basically. Sound ok?

You can try I guess, but IC I wont have anything to do with it. Dasquian believes that Jedi follow the law at all times, and would want to gather evidence etc to rpoove her innocence :)

:wave

Angelica would most likely get invovled, that is if she knew you, but a smash and grab sounds like fun!

>_<

jedi != above the law

Bwah. *Points at Xazor.* If Pierce finds another Jedi breaking the law, he will personally work to get you imprisoned or exiled. You can't be a Jedi fighting for justice only to ignore it when it applies to you.

I follow the more chaotic good path. This would be justice. A person has been imprisoned unjustly, so therefore I would justly break them out.

Anyway, Akrabbim's really really strong mentally. He'd be able to just look in her mind to see if she was guilty or not. If she's not guilty, that'd be good enough for him.

Wei's actually pretty good at debate when he's got information. He could be the liar! I mean, lawyer.

I think we are mearly joking Dasquian :)

Aaron Belargic

People might be joking about this but some seem to have gotten it into their head that Jedi are above the law and can just do anything they want - including breaking someone out of prison. Non-Jedi would be arrested for that, and IMO Jedi should receive the same treatment.

Just airing mah views.

*high-fives Pierce* :smokin

I would help but I don't think the council would approve of any...aggressive action right now... o_O

Das/Aaron knows what I'm talkin about. I'm not gonna get into cause-and-effect logic on this because the issue isn't really in a position for debate and I'm not about to tell someone else what they can and can't do with their character.

But!

I will state for the record that I'm gonna have Pierce start investigating any Force-user jailbreaks that occur.

Well, at the very least, other Jedi can be used as character witnesses, and perhaps there is some way through the force that we can determine if she realy did commit this crime?

Seers might be able to retrace Jacali's steps, empaths and telepaths could read her mind, and Jedi in general would "feel" that she is telling the truth.

But I wouldn't imagine those would be admissible in a court of law before ordinary beings. A case could be made that such nebulous Jedi techniques can be fooled, or that they are uncertain at best. You'd do far better to look for clues using those methods and guide investigators, rather than using them as direct evidence.

We'll need hard cold evidence... and the best one would be to find the culprit that set Jacali up.

I'm all for helping out in any way I can. :)
