For those of you who don't know what DDR is, it's one of the best games in the world. DDR stands for Dance Dance Revolution and has an up arrow, down arrow and two side arrows for you to stomp on when they appear on the screen. Granted, some of you out there think it's the most annoying game out there and I did, too, until I started playing. Now I'm a fanatic. (I kinda feel like I'm at a NA meeting !)

At first DDR was always inhabited by the Koreans (no offense to ANYONE), but now it's slowly being overtaken by anime freaks. Or at least in Rhode Island. I've been playing it nonstop for about two weeks now and come home every night with sore feet. So I guess this thread really has no point except for ... I LOVE DDR. ^____^ I wub it so much I even got Stepmania for my computer. XD

YOU'VE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME?!?!?!?! I LOVE DDR TOO!!!!! OMG!

That's the craziest thing, Cherice! Seriously! I've been hooked for the entire summer and FINALLY my fiancee bought it for his PS system. :D I was so excited!!!! :D

Yes, it is the best game EVER! That's awesome chick!!! Yeah, after you do it over and over again and again, your feet and legs get sooooo sore! Usually I have to go to the mall (45 mins away) to play it, but not anymore!!! :D Hehehehehehe! He actually bought it last night! :crack

Do you have a favorite song on there? He and I are awesome at Japan (the regular one, not the remix one). It's so awesome! :D

:crack :crack :crack

Methinks DDR, in all it's various incarnations, is something that one either loves or hates.

Personally... I find it really lame.

But, that's me.

I really don't care for it, but if it makes you happy, huzzah.

I'm just gonna sit here and wait for HL2.

Back before the whole RIAA thing with Kazaa/Kazaa-Lite, I downloaded the music to Matsuri Japan and used it to bug the crap outta my annoying roommate. That's my whole DDR experience in a nutshell.

- 321 Stars
- Across The Nightmare
- Cartoon Heroes

Heh, hee hee, *chuckle*

Oh, DDR, what a frightening fanbase you have...

(By the way, I am not one of these people. You'd have to kill me before I put on a fursuit, and I totally suck at DDR.)

That just ruined me from ever spending a buck to make a fool of myself playing DDR again. :p

I've played DDR with a group of mates loads of times when we go bowling, after several games of bowling we're all drunk so the whole experience is pretty hilarious. I am one of the best at it too. :D

we tried to play it, two player, with eight people so that everyone had a thing and you just had to keep stamping it... but the people threw us out

Well, surprisingly enough, I've only had the StepMania for about a day but I'm better at it than DDR. @.<; Oiy ! Ah well, I still covet the dusty and foot-trodden DDR machine at the mall.

Hey. Good idea. I never go to our one arcade so being thrown out might be fun!

Poi: Attaching glowsticks to lanyards and spinning them around so it looks like you're surrounded by discs of color. Also known as string-raving. I believe that it originated in the Pacific Islands. People used to spin fire around on torches...still do, IIRC.

I'll see if I can find a video of it.

I've played DDR on the Playstation 2. I don't play it enough to be decent on any difficulty except for the easy mode. Once I got the hang of it, I really enjoyed it.

Charley

DDR is excellent. At first, I was hesitant to get into it, as it can be expensive. After all, my SD was alright, and I didn't really see the need to get into another expensive situation, but after a while, I saw the benefits.

Oh, you mean Dance Dance Revolution, and not Double Data Rate?

Dance Dance Revolution sucks like a King Kamehameha black hole. Its followers should be shot, burned, and buried upside down.

DaDaR was pretty cool when I played it at the arcade. We had a poi contest at our High School Senior Prom.

I usually do that after the shower when I'm still in my towel, afraid I'd slip if I actually danced in there. :uhoh

Since my brother's back here and living here at the moment, I can't very well dance around in a towel or sit around in my undies anymore.. :(

I need some other place to do that.
