Finally, the banquet.... (closed)

[Lady Mylia]

After what seemed like a life time at the Temple touring with her mother, Mylia, Jacali, Dasquian and Lexanna were sitting in the back of the Basque's luxury cruiser zipping along through the busy city streets. Mylia sat next to Jacali, looking out the window. The ride so far had been very uncomfortable and Mylia didn't know how to change it. She sighed heavily as she looked at her dress hanging neatly next to Jacali's. This was going to be a long night, she thought to herself.

About an hour later Jacali and Mylia were in a rather large changing room off to the side of the Grand Ball room. She looked at herself in the mirror. Her long blue and silver gown was beautiful. She looked to Jacali, who looked absolutely stunning.

"Wow, Jacali. You look great."

She smiled to Jacali. Now, if only everything else would go this smoothly.

[Rydon Gavren]

Rydon looked to Lexanna with a smile. "Thanks for asking your daughter to join me tonight. It's a real pleasure, I haven't seen her for several years."

Lexanna smiled and laughed. "Oh darling, I didn't ask her yet. It's a surprise, she needs this. She'll really enjoy tonight if you are here with her."

This took Rydon by surprise, but he shrugged it off.

Perfect, he thought. I'll be able to get her alone sometime tonight and things will go as my Master planned.

Rydon continued smiling at Lexanna. "Thanks again, Senator."

[Lady Laithea]

Laithea bounded up to Lexanna. She was a very close family friend and best friend to Mylia. Even though she hadn't seen Mylia for over a year, since her leave to the Order. "Oh, Lexanna! It's good to see you again." Laithea leaned over and gave Lexanna a kiss on the cheek. "It's been too long." She looked around, hoping to spot Mylia, but spotted a very handsom young man instead. "Who's he?" She asked Lexanna with a wink.

[Lexanna Basque]

Lexanna laughed as Laithea's comment. "This is Rydon. He went to primary school with Mylia. He is her date for tonight." Lexanna smiled, pleased that Laithea liked Rydon. If she liked him, she was sure Mylia would adore him.

[Rydon Gavren]

Rydon smiled, pleased with the women's conversation about him. He bowed to Laithea. "Pleasure m'lady." He said and took her hand and kissed it. Things were going perfectly, he thought with a smile.

Jacali looked in the mirror with a nervous smile. "Oh, Mylia...what if I mess up tonight? I don't want to look like a fool or you one for that matter. Especially, with Master Dasquian there...what if I trip?" he rpre-banquet jitters had begun to get the best of her.

[Lady Mylia]

Mylia couldn't help but smile and her friends nervousness. She rightfully had these concerns, considering this was her first banquet. "You'll do fine, Jacali. Master Dasquian is really great about all this, I'm sure he's just as nervous." She laughed, thinking of their Master being nervous. He was a great man. She hoped he was fairing well with all the other men who were preparing for the banquet. She sighed and turned her thoughts back to her reck-of-a-roommate. She went over to her and straightened up the necklace around her neck. "Don't worry, Jacali. This'll be fun"

[Dasquian Belargic]

Dasquian stood in a room full of people he did not know and who didn’t seem to pleased to see him hear. They had all been smartening themselves up to prepare for the banquet proper, where as he was already dressed. He had donned a pale blue evening suit (http://panic.hopto.org/swf/vega/dasquian/outfit/banquet.jpg) and was looking suitably Jedi-like. After all, he was here as much as an escort and guard as he was as a guest.

Not quite sure of the arrangements for the evening, he had ended up standing about looking a bit lost and waiting for the others to leave before he did so himself.

Jacali looked at herself in the mirror again and took a deep breath. "I hope so." The gown was stunning, she had never seen anything so beautiful.

[Lady Mylia]

Mylia walked out into the hall, she spotted her mother and then darted away with Jacali. "Let's go try to find Master Dasquian." Mylia quickly lead Jacali to the other end of the hall where the men were changing. She found the large dressing area and peeked in. The men all seemed to be leaving, so now was her best chance to track down Dasquian. As Jacali and Mylia slipped into the changing room. Winked and low whistles came to each of the girls. Mylia smiled and winked back to the boys, being used to this sort of threatment outside the GJO. She looked back to Jacali and laughed. "This is fun, isn't it?" She asked while keeping her eye open for Dasquian. She spotted him and waved Jacali over to him.

[Dasquian Belargic]

Dasquian saw his two Padawan’s approaching and breathed a sigh of relief … and then noticed what they were wearing. He probably, quite noticeably, widened his eyes. With raised eyebrows he walked to meet them.

“You both look wonderful,” he smiled, both appreciative and proud in a sort of fatherly way at the same time.

“And it seems that everyone else agrees,” the Knight added with a quiet chuckle, nodding to those who had been jeering moments ago.

[Lady Mylia]

Mylia courtesies sligthly to Dasquain as they approached. "Master Belargic." She smiled and blushed, suddenly feeling embarassed by the comments of the others. "Thank you very much, Master. You look wonderful as well, that suit is perfect." Though is wasn't like many of the other suits tradiationly worn to this banquet, it couldn't be more perfect for Dasquian.

Jacali felt strange doing the courtsey thing so, she simply bowed. "Thank you , Master. Though, I feel a bit out of place." She smiled. "Your suit looks awesome, Master."

[Dasquian Belargic]

“Thank you both.”

He smiled.

“So, where do we head now that we’re all dressed?” he asked, glancing around at the others.

[Lady Mylia]

"You're welcome, Master." She turned and began to walk. "Now, we go find my mother." She lead them down the hall and around the corner. She spotted her mother standing facing them and a few other people with their backs turned to them. She gave Jacali a confused looked and then shrugged as she walked up to them.

[Lexanna Basque]

Lexanna's expression changed as she saw her daughter approaching. "Mylia, dear, you look beautiful." She gave her daughter a hug.

[Lady Laithea]

Laithea turned around and looked at Mylia. She was very excited, she hadn't seen Mylia in forever. After Lexanna gave Mylia hug, Laithea did the same. "Oh Mylia! It's great to see you!" She said as she through her arms around Mylia.

[Lady Mylia]

Mylia was very surprised to see her mother's reaction and Laithea. She hugged both of them back. "Thanks mother. Laithea, it's good to see you." She was in a daze, very surprised.

[Dasquian Belargic]

Dasquian smiled at Senator Basque, recognizing her from her trip to the Jedi Order. The other woman he didn’t know, but assumed she was family or some sort. He bowed to both of them.

“Everyone looks marvelous.”

Jacali stood silently, beside Dasquian merely watching the goings on and waiting for her vision to begin to fall into place.

[Lady Mylia]

Mylia smiled. "I know Dasquian, don't they all look great." Mylia looked to her mother and then to Laithea and then her eyes fell upon someone she didn't know standing close to her mother. She gave Laithea a questioning look, thinking maybe it was her date or something.

[Lady Laithea]

Laithea saw the look that Mylia gave her after looking at the man. She shook her head. "No." She mouthed, knowing exactly what Mylia was asking.

[Lexanna Basque]

Lexanna smiled at her daughter as she noticed the young man standing with her. "Honey, this is Rydon Gavren. Remember he went to primary school with you. He's going to be your date tonight. I arranged it all." She smiled brightly, knowing her daughter would be pleased with this.

[Lady Mylia]

Mylia looked at her mom in disbelief. "My date?" She barely squeaked. How could her mom do this to her? Set something like this up without even consalting her. But she couldn't be rude so she immediately changed her attitude. "My date. How lovely. Thanks mother."

[Rydon Gavren]

Rydon took Mylia's hand and kissed it. He looked up at her with a smile. "Good evening, Miss Basque. It's a pleasure to see you again." He could tell that Mylia wasn't happy about this, but he didn't care. All Mylia did in reply was to continue smiling. He looked to her two other companions and smiled and nodded to both of them. If this was going to work, he'd have to make everything perfect.

Jacali studied the young man and then it hit her.

That's him, Master! That is the guy that's going to drug Mylia! Her mental voice was blocked to everyone, but her master.

[Dasquian Belargic]

Rydon Gavren, thought Dasquian. He hadn’t heard the name before. Never the less, he nodded to Jacali and would make sure he kept a good watch on this man.

“A pleasure to meet you all,” Dasquian said politely.
