As it is a Council election month, nominations for Council seats are now open. Please observe the following rules:
1) All active Jedi holding the rank of Master are eligible. Knights are also eligible, as long as they have held the rank for at least 4 months (ie. since before the time of the previous council election.) Newly promoted Knights (within the last 4 months) and padawans can not be nominated. Please note that a person can be disqualified if it is decided that they have not been sufficently active since the last election.
2) Please make only one nomination per post. You may nominate more than one person, but you must do so in seperate posts.
3) Those nominated must accept or decline the nomination. Those who accept will have their names placed on the candidate list. Those who decline will not. Anyone nominee who doesn't either accept or decline by the close of nominations will be listed as having declined nomination.
4) Only one character name per person is eligible. Those with multiple qualified user names may only accept nomination with one of those names.
5) Nominations will be open for one week. This thread will close at 9 PM EST, Wednesday, September 10th.
There are a total of nine seats open. If there are nine or less candidates by the close of nominations, an election will not be necessary, and those candidates will become the new council. For greater than nine, the election will be held as normal.
