A Forum upgrade...

...has been done. We jumped 2 version numbers at once, so the changes were fairly extensive.

Please let me know if any bugs are encountered/discovered etc.

Nope, just improved security and supposed better functionality. :huh

I haven't seen any hacks lately that added features that were worth a squat. :p

P.S I refuse to upgrade us to vB version 3 as of right now, because it would break just about all the hacks we already have and its additional features are mainly just bloatware-ish.

And so that the Mods/Admins and everyone knows for certian. The QuickEdit feature will still add the "Edited By"-line if any post is edited 5 minutes after its original posting. It does not provide anon editing capabilities. I also added the "Reason for Edit" form to it, so that it functions as close as possible to loading the full fledged edit page.

Another note about something I just discovered. The QuickEdit feature does not work properly in the first post in a thread like this one; within a forum and topic where topic tags are required.

I will see what I can do about modifying it to function seemlessly with topic tags.

I actually modified the QuickEdit hack a bit to work with other hacks I have here too.

Besides, most of my really cool hacks are for admins and mods, so the general public missess the best ones, while the staff here has the good life.

There are several I wrote and use here that I didn't release at vB.org.
