Voting takes place this month, and the current council will sit until the end of the month. Oct. 1st, the new council begins session.

Actually, the voting every few months isn't that old of a tradition... it started after I first came... heck, I remember serving on the council once...

Ok. But none of this answers the question: Do we begin the process now, or do we wait until later in the month? No one seems to remember.

Well, it needs to be over and done with by the end of the month. If memory serves, it should begin no later than the 15th of the month, to allow the greatet number to actually vote.
