anyone else got it / watched it?

really good quality, tho I have to admit the special features are blah. Except for the Return of the Knig teaser. WOW. There's stuff there that is even more eyeopening than what we have seen so far.

I was really impressed with a 10 minute preview of RotK. I can't wait until December!

I only watched the ROTK preview and EE preview thing. The Boromir/Faramir scenes look like they will be good.

I like the TTT:EE preview the best, I haven't watched much of the TTT movie on DVD yet, every scene just gives me the "ew, I've seen this part 10 times already" feeling.

"Keep away from the trees!" <-- that'll be a cool scene.

I watched it Tuesday. The ROTK preview is the best of the special features it is awesome.

I like the fact that you buy a DVD, and get told "Wait a few months, then buy this again!" ;)

That is why I didn't buy this one, I just rented it :)

That reminds me of the Simpsons episode where Homer is Max Powers and Marge meets Bill Clinton at a party, and Marge says "Are you sure it's a federal law that I have to meet you in the tool shed and have sex with you?" and Bill replies, "You know, I'd rescind that law if I could, Marge, but I can't."

I'm waiting until the EE comes out to watch it again. I wasn't super-0impressed with regular TTT, so I need to see the EE before I cn really make a better opinion.

You know, as crazy as this sounds, you do have the option of not buying it. :p

I know, but it just makes me smile that there is an advert on the TTT DVD telling you to buy the TTT DVD. It's like how before X2 an advert told us to go see X2 in cinemas now :)

I bought my copy a couple of days ago, but now wished I would have invested in the fullscreen which I will do when the EE is released. The film is too rich in detail for a widescreen which is what I usually purchase. The extras were not much to Ooooh-ahhhh over. Nice brief glimpse at ROTK though.

WHAT??????????

I truly dont believe you said that. I would not touch pan and scan for exactly the same reasons - you lose 1/3 of the picture! Widescreen ONLY.

Yeah, I strictly purchase widescreen versions save for the older classics where you have no choice in the matter via academy aspect ratio.

I am fond of this quote that has bounced around in home entertainment circles, "Pan and scan is strictly television, BUT widescreen is cinema."

No offense, but you are on crack.

Save your pennies and buy a 16/9 TV... problem solved.

I simply refuse to watch pan and scan stuff.

I was once a pan and scan watcher until I joined this forum, and was shown the light. It is truely amazing how, mo better it is.

I barely notice the difference. If I have a choice I'll get Widescreen, but I'm not too fussed.
