...all of these words describe my work yesterday and today. I'm thinking about running out the back door, screaming.

What do you get if you cross Jek Porkins with a cooking utensil?

A deep fat flyer.

Hope that made you smile :)

*hugs*

Hope work goes less Bananas, Nuts etc :(

*Waits out the back door of Holly's work with a bag to put over her head so he can drag her off and hold her for ransom when she runs out screaming.* >D

Ya got my sympathies. Hope your ruff time smooths out, Hol.

I have a pile of clothes from the dressing rooms on the floor, knee high, and an equal pile of hangers all tangled up with each other. Plus, lines all over the store for the registers and dressing rooms, and and and and and...we close in half an hour. But I've got like 40 people still in the store.

We're running a 75% off sale. >_<

Charley

I think the problem is that things are TOO serious. Could just be me though.

Charley
Aug 24th, 2003, 07:16:23 PM
And you got that from Bananas, Nuts, Out of Control, Hell, A Madhouse, and A Looney Bin?

Zeke
Aug 24th, 2003, 07:19:33 PM
I dunno about anyone else, but THIS:

I have a pile of clothes from the dressing rooms on the floor, knee high, and an equal pile of hangers all tangled up with each other. Plus, lines all over the store for the registers and dressing rooms, and and and and and...we close in half an hour. But I've got like 40 people still in the store.

...sounds kinda serious. I used to throw horrible jokes at my customers when they'd flood before close. Most left without buying anything. :D

Sorreessa Tarrineezi
Aug 24th, 2003, 08:12:27 PM
hell customers do that all the time at BB, 15 mins before we close 5-10 come in and wander, we tell them they have 15 mins, they still wander, 5 mins before closing 5 or more new people want to come in that we will turn away if we can, meanwhile the last 5-10 stall until closing to get out.....god I hate closing.....

Either way, I sympathize. :)

Norm Thompson. Oregon based catalog company. www.normthompson.com

We closed at 6 pm. The last customer left the store at 6:30. It took until 7:15 to get things counted down, entered and locked away.

This sucks. Tomorrow is my sixth day in a row and then I get two days off, in which I will probably lie in my bed for the first day, and then lie on the couch for the second. :x

Hmmm. Complaints about working long hours?

Sorry if I seem particularly unsympathetic, but right now, working ANY hours is a blessing. Try having a mortgage and no job. Hey, it changes your point of view real quick. Even if it's the real bastard act that today was, I'll take it. I rather like the idea of having food.

Touche Hol! :)

Do what we do in Kwik Save - when a customer asks where such-a-thing is, we tell them it's "just down that aisle, past the checkout, down past the liquor-save and out the double doors." :D

*huggles s'Il and Peter* I have two days off now and so I'm going to veg out and do NOTHING, except maybe go see SWAT and buy some groceries. ^_^;

Our try on rooms are by the emergency exit, so I've been tempted to tell people just to go all the way out. Except they're always carrying our merchandise, and although we're selling it for $2-$3 a piece, I doubt the rest of management would have appreciated me giving it away like that. :p

When you're getting a pair of pants and a robe for only $4.98, everyone likes shopping.

But the pants I like I can never get for only $4.98, so I don't like shopping.. especially since trying on clothing is usually needed :x

That makes more sense. I got an image in my head of someone walking out in a hooded robe like one of the Nazgul, or maybe some Dark Side Acolyte...

*Image blurs in wavey lines as the scene cuts to Brian's imagination.*

Clerk: O Dark Lordess of Retail, the people have bought the clothing and begun acting evilly the moment they try it on, as you said they would.
Holly: Excellent. Soon, they will all be part of my evil army, for no one can truly be good while wearing a black robe!
Clerk 2: (rushes in) Lordess, an unruly mob bent on stopping the spread of your power is coming with torches to burn the place down.
Holly: Wipe them out. All of them. And let me get back to chatting with this cute British guy....

Morg is right. I hate it. But I appears one can order online?

My coworkers bought me this gift certifcate to get some new shoes because my feet are scared and hurt from my current shoes (which apart from the way my feet look - feel fine). They bought it for me at Christmas. Any other woman would have raced to the shoe store. Not me. I can't stand shopping... EVER.

Lilaena De'Ville

Speaking of shoes...

http://www.customatix.com/customatix/common/homepage/HomepageGeneral.po?

Someone came up with a pretty darned cool idea. See, you can pick a style of shoe, and customize the hell out of it. At a quick glance, they seem to have all sorts of materials, logos, designs, etc. It's fairly expensive, but the idea of a custom made shoe is pretty cool.

I don't have time to toy around with this now, but perhaps someone else will want to?

Crystal
Aug 28th, 2003, 01:47:47 PM
Hey. That's pretty neat.

I wish there were more options for boots, though.. I have like this idea of a kind of boot I want.. but I haven't seen anywhere that has one like it unless it's high-heeled

Lilaena De'Ville
Aug 28th, 2003, 03:28:10 PM

I'm an 8 1/2 - 9 .. so I'm close to average.

Like every women I know is short and wears a size 5 or 6.. not that I'm tall but I'm not as short as some women I know.

Lilaena De'Ville

I'm an 8, 8-1/2...pretty average. Ryla is taller, so bigger feet = normal. Short girls tend to have smaller feet, etc. :)
