I'm looking forward to my summer vacation. It's gonna last all of two weeks (approx) and it officially starts after class of Friday, but I'll not be attending class after today. Then I'm back at school on Sept 8.

I started school on the 14th! Yes, that's of August, meaning I've been in school since last Thursday...
...maybe it has to do with Summer starting on May 15th this time...:D
I'm not really complaining, I'd rather have a lot more early summer weather than crappy, hot August weather...and no lines at the theme parks until the other schools get out, around June 16th or something.
The only bad thing is, we only got two months of vacation this year, but the extra time next year will make up for it. My teachers rock. One of them was supposed to go on the space shuttle. Another is the only Western Wushu Martial Arts master in the world...
Pretty cool...

I know it differs depending upon major, but I actually found my 400 and 500 level courses more interesting and somewhat easier than my 300 level courses.

Well I've also got just as many 300 levels this semester.

I just started college last Monday. I'm taking a Networking Support Course, supposed to take about 1050 hours or something like that, but so far in 10 hours I've completed about 50 hours worth of work, since it is a work at your own pace school.

Well... that joke doesn't apply to me (as I play tuba) and we haven't a single flute in our band.

I started my second year of college classes today. It was great fun. First there was Old Testament, then Greek, then Scientific Inquiry. Tomorrow I get to go to Theological Research and Writing. I get to take the Christianity department's weed-out class this semester!
In all honesty I'm severely pumped up about my classes. :D

You need to seriously think about what is selling in the job market. Is there much demand for English Literature?

Outside of teaching, probably not.
edit -
and just to clarify, it's not the only thing I'm taking. Psychology and Information Technology/Computing (probably useless as well).

I'm going to be starting my lightest class load in a year this fall... I'm only taking 12 credits, four each for German, Juvenile Criminal Justice and History of Medieval Europe. The last three terms, I did 18 credits every term, four of those credits being technical theater, which involves sacrificing your evenings and weekends for the show. I'm very glad not to be doing those again this term!
I actually enjoy university much more than high school, and I'm glad to finally be able to not only pick the classes I enjoy but also to do well in them. (Let's just say that I was somewhat less than a motivated student in my younger days. ;) )

I'm taking a 1500 hour computer Networking course to get my certification. That's 1500 standard hours, or how many hours the staff thinks it will take the standard student to complete the course. So far I've completed about 78 hours of Standard work in a 20 hour time period. Talk about easy........
