Well, it helps you in the long run if you do. That way, you know the rules (well, you get the gist of them anyways) and no-one will have any problems with what you post IC :)

No, you don't have to. You could have divine intervention come upon you and bless you with knowing the rules here. But if you don't have that luxury, I'd recommend reading the FAQ, because it will make your stay here infinitely more fun. It will also be very helpful in knowing what to do and what not to do. Without that knowledge, it's caveat emptor and you could very easily disappoint me, which is of course not good.

4) Use Common sense and fair play
