How much I love Rob Thomas?

Everytime I see him interviewed or something, I just keep thinking how awesome he is, and how clever and creative he is.

I want to meet him.

I liked his earlier stuff. Now my young unpretentious mind has been disillusioned by the power rockers... kinda.

Disease

Feels like you made a mistake
You made somebody's heart break
But now I have to let you go
I have to let you go

You left a stain
On every one of my good days
But I am stronger than you know
I have to let you go

No one's ever turned you over
No one's tried
To ever let you down
Beautiful girl
Bless your heart

I got a disease
Deep inside me
Makes me feel uneasy, baby
I can't live without you, tell me
What am I supposed to do about it?
Keep your distance from it
Don't pay no attention to me
I got a disease

Feels like you're making a mess
You're hell on wheels in a black dress
You drove me to the fire
And left me there to burn

Everything little thing you do is tragic
All my life before was magic
Beautiful girl
I can't breathe

(chorus)

I think that I'm sick
But leave me be
While my world is coming down on me
You taste like honey, honey
Tell me can I be your honeybee
Be strong
Keep telling myself
That it won't take long 'til
I'm free of my disease

(chorus)

I think that I'm sick
But leave me be
While my world is coming down on me
You taste like honey, honey
Tell me can I be your honeybee
Be strong
Keep telling myself
That it won't take long 'til
I'm free of my disease

And who's to say you couldn't now? o_O

*is a total "groupie" girl* I love meeting rock-stars; they're always so nice :lol I guess if I met a nasty one, it would change my mind though.

pppppppffffffffffffffffffttttttttttttttttt!

It's not like you're going to go backstage and do naughty things (as fun as that could be :mischief). I've gone backstage before, and hung out with a few Canadian musicans (Zuckerbaby, Sandbox, Age of Electric, Sloan) and it's just that, hanging out and talking. *shrug*

My parents go to concerts all the time -- they're "Hipsters" :lol (They love the Tragically Hip and go to every show).

Yes, you were. :)

I have to say that I bought their latest cd. I really relate to "Unwell", and there are four other tracks that I'm really keen on, too, especially the one that says something like "Be my savior and I'll be your downfall".

I had added "Unwell" to my song list in the OOC forum here...and I relate to that as well.

Yep Bri, thats "Downfall"

Downfall

I wonder how you sleep
I wonder what you think of me
If I could go back
Would you have ever been with me
I want you to be uneased
I want you to remember
I want you to believe in me
I want you on my side
Come on

(Chorus)
Lay it down
I've always been with you
Here and now
Give all that's within you
Be my savior
And I'll be your downfall

Here we go again
Ashamed of being broken in
Getting off track
I want to get you back again
I want you to trouble me
I wanted you to linger
I want you to agree with me
I want so much so bad
Come on

(Chorus)

Yeah be my savior
Only love can save us now
Love save me now

Only love can save us now
I'll be your downfall
Our love can save us now
Love save me now
Lay it down
I've always been with you
Here and now
Give all that's within you
Be my savior
And I'll be your downfall

Now I'm back on my own
Yeah my feet are heavy, made of stone
I'll make you go where I go
Well they're here, can I take you home
And I'm coming home, on my back
Kissing me, your lips painted black

Ezra: I know, I saw Unwell in your list...appropriate ;)

Can you recommend some more Hera? These are all great :) I especially like Unwell. I can relate to that as well.

"The Difference" is romantic the point where I tear up listening to it. At least, it is to me, anyway.

DarthHERA
Sep 3rd, 2003, 10:06:39 PM
Do you mean more of Matchbox Twenty, Jen?

If so, then:

Could I be You
Cold
and yeah, definitely the one Hob said - Difference

*Back 2 good (very melancholy)
*Push
*Real World

**these ones are pretty old now, you probly know some of them *

Nelly Furtado - "Turn off the Light"

Nelly Furtado/Swollen Members "Breath"

Youre the one being awesome :)

Anyway, I listened to quite a few tracks now, and the quality is excellent. I listen to a lot of music, but this group had somehow not registered on my radar before.

Have you heard Kryptonite, Hera?

DarthHERA
Sep 27th, 2003, 09:36:10 PM
Yep Kryptonite is excellent.

That was on their previous CD. I think im going to buy this new one.

My favorite song Three Doors Down did was "Loser" - it was on the first album.

I like their new stuff, but now I'm just getting a notion that they're capitalizing on the war (which isn't suppossed to be a war anymore). They've had two songs released on the burdens of soldiers and their families. That's all sad and all, but aren't some things sacred. Know what I mean?

Duck And Run is a good track back Three Doors Down. My favourite.

Yeah, a few bands released some songs along those lines, the flag etc etc, but I think it was more a sense of patriotism than a cash grab. But I cant really say about 3DD, cause I dont know the songs.

I think Im gonna get their CD saturday. I just like that one song alot.
