With a more than disappointed groan, Quay'Na Rakai flopped down on a bench in one of the main gardens that she usually really enjoyed. She looked down at the datapad that she held, she had failed her first test with Sage.

It was late evening and she was more than stressed out about it. Sage wanted her to take it again in the morning, allowing her to study another night.

With an exasperated sigh, she stood and reached into her pants pocket and brought out a small white bottle. Opening it, she shook out a few small white pills, she was almost out.

Quay'Na placed them in her mouth and downed them with a fizz pop. She no longer drank diet, all she wanted now was the sugar to keep her going...

"So I guess what I said earlier about him being an interesting teacher was a bit of an understatement." Kueller laughed. "Which test did you fail with him?"

OOC: Sorry if you wanted Jake to post first. I'll delete my post if so.

OOC: That's okay...:)

Quay'Na jumped to the sound of his voice, Kueller. "Do you always come sneaking up on people?" She asked as she put the bottle away. Her tone somewhat irritable.

"He still is an interesting teacher, I've just need to study more." She glanced at the datapad. "An anatomy exam on the creatures of Aquaris, I didn't study as much as I normally do. Busy, I guess." Truth of the matter, she hadn't studied at all, because she forgot about it.

Kueller laughed, people always thought he had snuck up on them but he didn't on purpose. "Have you tried using the force to aid your studying?"

"Yes, here and there, but I'd rather just use my own memory to follow through." She told him. "I don't like shortcuts."

Kueller

"I'd hardly call using the Force a shortcut. Is using the Force in battle dishonrable. Is using the Force to strengthen you a shortcut?"

"Good point and well taken. My own battle techniques are not one of my strongholds as of yet. My former master thought that one should use their mind to discover your true ability. Mine is, as I've said, animals. That is where I hold my strength."

Kueller

"You're former master? Who was that?"

Quay'Na sighed and smiled. "My former master's name was Ira Valko. She took me on five years ago, when I was decovered that I was Force-sensitive."

Jake was in his room, practicing his saber technique yet again. The orb-like training droids blasted at him from random angles, and he blocked each and every blast, subtlely adjusting his muscles to accomodate for each strike. As he finished up by chopping up the droids, he extinguished the sabers, slipping them to the clips at his side. He stood, taking small breaths, and heard part of the conversation of Quay'Na and another male individual, someone he did not know. A disortation on using the Force to help with studying....was that possible? Jake knew how to strengthen himself both with the Force and the newer limits of his Garou body, in addition to a budding use of Telekinetics. But using it to help with the processing of information? Hmm, it could be a possibility, but one that Jake would probably never explore.....he wasn't ever the good student.....Smiling, his long strides took him to the room, and he waited silently at the doorframe, not wanting to intrude on the pair's conversation.

Quay'Na 'felt' Jake's presence more than anything. He was Garou and since she had found out, she could hone in on him almost immediately.

She looked up and warmly smiled at her good friend. "Come on in, Jake. We're not talking about anything you don't already know. Well...that's not entirely true..." She mumbled as she glanced at the datapad.

"And why isn't she your Master anymore?" he asked and then nodded to Jake in acknowledgement.

Quay'Na sighed tiredly. She hated this part. "She died while we were on a mission to arrest some poachers."

Jake nodded back at the other man, listening intently to Quay'Na. He had heard some of the story about the poachers killing her last master....how sad....it seems that all Jedi have some sort of painful past....in one form or another....but she seemed to turn out better, stronger. She was stronger than she realized....He continued listening, saying nothing, for he couldn't think of anything.

Quay'Na took her attention from Kueller to Jake. "Jake, please come in."

She looked at Kueller. "Kueller, this is one of my best friends, Jake Burton."

She glanced at Jake. "Jake, this is another one of Master Sage's Padawan's Kueller."

She was glad to see her friend, it had been a while.

"Ahh." Kueller shook Jake's hand. "So what Jedi field are you specialised in?"

Jake extends his hand, shaking it with a strong grip.

"Well, if I had to make a decision, it would probably be Telekinetics......I work more on the martial portion of the Jedi Arts, so it's things like saber technique and Force-usage in highly combative situations that are my fields. How 'bout yourself, Kueller?"
