Trailer doesn't want to work for me. It's probably being bombarded by about a thousand people clicking it :mneh

Oooh Annie Lennox is doing some of the soundtrack. Nifty.

Correct. It's there though, so you might get lucky, or they will probably post mirrors soon, so you won't have to wait long.

Looks pretty sweet... I love that last scene where Gandalf meets up with the Black Captain .

Darn it!

What movie is this going to be in front of, does anyone know?

Shawn

It's not the theatrical trailer. And that won't be in theaters until September.

Boy, am I an AV geek.

I've had the movie for 2 minutes, and already I've properly synced up the audio (it was desynced and coming half a second after the video :rolleyes), and decreased it from 30 megs to 5.88 megs by converting it from Quicktime to DivX 5.05, and I promise you would never notice the quality difference.

If I had to take a guess, I'd say that this was ripped from the TTT DVD that's coming out shortly, which is supposed to include a preview of ROTK.

The 24fps thing makes me think it wasn't a DVDRip.

On further analysis, it appears that the source was 29.97fps (a 23.976fps DVD telecined to 29.97fps) and some un-1737 person just did a dumb framerate conversion to 24fps rather than an inverse telecine, which is why the clip is so shaky and stutters so much.

i am probably going to get in trouble for this, since i always get in trouble

buts it no longer there so i downloaded it from kazaa, and all you people who want to flame me for doing so and since i mentioned the unmentionable name, remember its the same darn thing you downloaded as well

If you want to do that that is your choice just don't share it with anybody on here. I don't understand why there hasn't been a trailer before now? TTT had one in July as I remember. Maybe they figure they don't need to market the movie this early.

i also heard that they put restiction on time limits for the fist 2 movies asking Jackson to keep them under 3 hours but they put no restriction on the time limit for the 3rd movie

so its possible we might see the extended version this time in the theatres instead of on dvd

Actually, in this case... so long as you don't post a link for it here, you're free to discuss it.

I could see that Dizzy maybe a re-release around Oscar time that could be an idea.

I'd like to see RotK be at least 4.5 hours long, seeing as how they have to put in the last 1/3 of The Two Towers. The longer the better.

...with an old fashioned intermission!! :D

Right now, ROTK is tracked at last knowing at 3 hours and 10 minutes.

Now, remember, they did not film the jouney home, so there is a 1/4 of the book not done at all. Should be no problems witht he stuff left over from TTT

So I'm guessing they will kill Saruman at the beginning of the movie then?

That is my thought.

Ever heard of the rumor about the "RSWD," that some people thought was a joke? My guess is, given that Saruman has to die sometime, that it is not a rumor, but in fact how the event will occur.
