The guy was such a living legend. The city basically came to a stop yesterday. :(

I loved what little of him I saw, and it is sad he has passed on. However, it was good to hear he was still joking right up to his death.

He was one of the funniest men I have seen. I was deeply sadened by his passing. :(

*wipes away tears*

I grew up watching him, Danny Kaye, George Burns and so many others that have passed on. I loved Bob Hope....losing him is almost like losing a member of my family.

Bob Hope never really made it big down here. I guess his humour never really translated well. Still, I do understand he's a loss to the world.

What, however, I wonder about is the obituary that said he was the master of the one liner, none better. I can think of one better - Groucho Marx.

I believe Hope and Marx were great friends.

When I was working for the radio station we'd play old broadcasts from the 'Burns and Allen Show' and 'The Bob Hope Show'. Those were some of my favorite stuff to listen to.

I'm sorry to hear Bob Hope passed away, but it sounded like he went out with a smile.
