Ok i went to see whale rider yesterday for a 4:30 matinee
normally when i go to a small independent film the theatre is mostly empty even more so if its a matinee on a thursday
surpisingly enough the theatre was packed, which make me happy because i have been emailing the vp of our theatre chains for months about getting smaller movies and i always get the same reply they don't do them more often becuase not enough people go see them
so thats great me so happy
then secondly i was looking up movie shot times for todays shows at like midnight and was shocked to see they were doing a midnight showing of seabiscuit but not tomb raider (i would have gone to the midnight show but it was already midnight and it takes 15 minutes to get to the theatre)
so a packed show for a smaller movie and a midnight show for a lesser movie and none for the blockbuster
i am telling you the world has gone mad
