Okay lucky week 13 here. Now this weekend is going to be a doozy. We got three major openings
Tomb Raider 2
Spy Kids 3
SeaBiscuit
This is one of the most competive weekends of the Summer also because of the holdovers of Bad Boys 2 and Pirates of the Carribean. This should be an interesting weekend. You have until Saturday 9AM to make your picks.

Good luck - I avoid watching crap. The first one was an abdomation. This will be no better.

Jul 24th, 2003, 09:08:22 PM
i thought you said you avoid watching crap but then ya call the first one an abomination clearly admitting to seeing it

thats one hell of a contradiction my son

My wife saw it. I refused to.

And when SHE said it was crap, then it catches my attention. Considering she likes some woeful stuff, it must be scraping the barrel

Also it look Seabiscuit is only opening in 1997 theaters. Still Road to Predition which came out last year only opened in 1700 so theater so we might be looking at a similar gross for hte weekend.

Is anybody going to get any points?
Friday Numbers
Spy Kids 3 11.8
TR2 8.5
POTC 6.8

I was right I was afraid Spy Kids would do better I am kicking myself for not picking it number 1.

how the hell did spykids do better than tomb raider

ok i liked the first spy kids but the second one was an autrocity a crime against mankind

i have to admit that i morbidly curious about the third one simply because i haven't been to a 3d movie since mad max beyond thunderdome

the new weekend predictions give me a chance at #2 and #3 if they holdup buts its so close they could swing any way

1 Spy Kids 3-D: Game Over DIM $32,500,000 $32,500,000
2 Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl $22,400,000 $176,100,000
3 Bad Boys II $22,000,000 $88,452,000
4 Lara Croft Tomb Raider: The Cradle of Life $21,760,000 $21,760,000
5 Seabiscuit $21,500,000 $21,500,000

i am off my only 100,000 on POTC and 1.4 mil on bad boys 2 if those hold

sirdizzy
Jul 27th, 2003, 10:53:31 AM
now that i look at it makes no difference how much bad boys 2 makes if it holds to the 3 spot since i am the only who has it in the 3 spot, so if that holds guarnteed win at 3 for me

and since i am off by only $100,000 if they hold i should get #2 as well and muck the rest of the picks

sirdizzy
Jul 27th, 2003, 10:54:54 AM
i take that back if seabiscuot can somehow slide into #4 possition i am the only one who has it as #4 so i could possibly get that one too

and i just messed up big time on spykids and tomb raider

sirdizzy
Jul 27th, 2003, 10:56:07 AM
but its so darn close its going to be like a horserace the winner by a nose which is fitting with seabiscuit debuting this week

Jedi Master Carr
Jul 27th, 2003, 11:25:52 AM

CMJ
Jul 27th, 2003, 12:14:27 PM
