Supposedly, the kid that plays Harry in the films (Daniel Radcliffe) has said that he's done with the role with the completion of the third film. Not sure about the other kids, but it looks like at least one character will end up being recast.

Actually that was a lie, his mother came out after that story hit the airwaves and said it was rubbish and that he will probably do GOF. I think the rumor got started in one of the british Tabloids, don't know which one.

Well no footage was shown just Daniel and the director talking about the movie. However I did find a picture of Oldman as Sirius also Rupert Grint who plays Ron and Alan Rickman (out of costume) are in it

http://www.mugglenet.com/images/oldmanincostume.jpg

He looks just like Sirius :)

Oh yes! This is the picture I've been looking for! Sweet! :)

Those markings on his chest are a great touch, don't remember anything about them being mentioned in the book.

Noooo! it's Jesus! :P

Not what I pictured, since the book says he has waist-length, matted hair, but eh, I'll forvive him. :) I'm sure this movie is just going to rock.

I betting Oldman is wearing either a wig or extensions on the set it would probably be too hard for him to grow that much hair.

that looks NOTHING like Sirius! Serious is supposed to be extremely good-looking under the hair, and is a rebel, not a hobo.

Well realize that Sirius was in Azkban for 12 years I am sure he wouldn't look that great when he escaped

Well, I'm still depressed that they didn't cast Ewan McGregor as Lupin, but I hope the David Thewlis at least looks the part...

Jedi Master Carr
Jul 26th, 2003, 04:18:03 PM
I figured McGregor wasn't going to happen with them filming Episode 3 at the same time as POA it was impossible. I haven't seen any pictures of Thewlis as Lupin, but he is a good actor so I think he can pull it off.

This is a great article from Newsweek about the new Harry Potter movie
http://www.msnbc.com/news/943721.asp?0bl=-0

I love the pic :p I am thinking that takes place towards the end after the Shrieking Shack Sirius is probably on the ground and the Demantors are surrounding them I so wish this movie would come out this year but I guess I will have to wait.

I just finished reading the book of this (yes I am behind sue me) and I'm really looking forward to seeing it. I'm wondering how the Dementors will look different from the Black Riders of LOTR.

Oldman was a good choice for Sirius bit in my eyes Sirius has no beard :)...just how he appears in my brain :)

The Dementors should be interesting I don't think they will look too much like the Ringwraiths they might resemble them in some way but I am certain they will make them look different somehow. Also their is a neat picture of Gambon as Dumbledore here

http://www.msnbc.com/news/1968052.jpg

I think he really looks the part.

He looks alright although now I believe Dumbledore looks like Richard Harris in costume and no other way. It's such a shame, he played Dumbledore magically.

Richard Harris WAS Dumbledore end of story...i see richard Harris when i read the books so i feel very sorry for the person stepping in as Dumbledor.

Jul 29th, 2003, 05:52:34 PM
Yes. Lovely, lovely! *Is too distracted by the Elves to make any further comment at the moment*:D

Aunt Marge and ripper will be great, and the teeny weeny owl they got for Pig (don't remember where I saw it) looks appropriately spaztic. ;)

What is going on with Malfoy's hair?

What I'm looking forward to see is Snape dressed like Neville's grandmother in the Defense Against the Dark Arts Lesson featuring the Boggart! :D

Mmm, longhaired Malfoy. Man, if I was 14-year-old girl, I'd be all over that.

As it is, I'll just go right for his dad. ;)

Why have I not seen one picture containing a Hogwarts robe? :eek

Jedi Master Carr
Jul 30th, 2003, 08:47:27 PM
I saw one earlier a very poor image coming from a tabloid. I think all the above images take place around The Shrieking Shack and Hogsmade and I think they must be allowing them to not wear their uniform when they go to Hogsmade and when they are out of class.

Dasquian Belargic

In one of the articles it said they were moving away from wearing robes and allowing them to wear plain clothes, yet Malfoy still seems to be in his.

In my opinion the books are better than the movies...not that the movies aren't fantastic but IMO the books are on another level. :D

I new they be in Robes I think they showed a glut of pictues around the Shrieking Shack and Hogsmade it makes sense to me that they wouldn't be in uniform then.

Yeah, I never really thought about that. Although that picture with McGonnagal through me off.

I think in that picture they are going to Hogsmade but Harry is left behind, my guesses is they change it and have that moment to let Harry ask her if he can go.
