Zuuzhan Vong and the Imperial remnant

I was wondering, is the Vong a threat to the Sovereignty in any way? I have'nt read the NJO books so I'm not sure of the relationship they have with the Imperials.
Also is the Imperial remnant based at Bastion still around in this time frame?

The Vong are being assaulted by a combined NR and Imperial fleet. This is why our fleet numbers are so ridiculouly low compared o the might we should wield.
