A young woman in a green cloak is nothing particularly special. Of all the people on Coruscant she didn’t stand out. Perhaps it was because she didn’t want to, or perhaps because she was just another person, just another one in a billion living their lives. As she walked through the crowd of people nothing marked her out as odd, aside from the manner of dress. Her demeanor was a little hesitant, yes, and she seemed a little shy of those around her, but otherwise, quite nothing.

A young woman in a green cloak is nothing particularly special until she drops to her knees and screams, then she gets notice.

“Cor eur ej di loam!!!”

A shriek went up as she gripped her head tightly. Some around her turned to look, but most couldn’t care less. That is, until they suddenly became to become confused. The confusion wore off after a few seconds before coming back in full force for those in close proximity to the girl, who all at once became unaware of where they were and panicked.

Desperately clawing at her temples, she screamed out at the top of her voice:

“QUYOR!”

It was back to Coruscant for Naj. After his first experiment had gone awry, he'd found himself needing more materials to work with. Everything had been purchased that he would need, and now he was grabbing a quick bite to eat before he left.

There was nothing particularly different about the city-planet this day, just people shuffling about on their own business. That was changed suddenly by an woman laying down laying down on the sidewalk, screaming at the top of her lungs.

Naj merely raised an eyebrow at first, until he recognized the language she was speaking, better yet, screaming in. The language itself was a severely degenerated form of basic that had evolved for centuries on a backwater planet just past the outer rim.

Naj had studied it while he lived on Csilla, though for some odd reason, all text on the actual culture and customs of the planet's inhabitants could be found that didnt contridict something else. Some of the writing found made absolutely no sense at all. However, one lucky first-contact specialist was able to get his hands on some text, and was able to translate it.

Naj had taken this for what it was worth, and studied up.

Quietly, the Chiss Hybrid rose from his seat and calmly walked out of the resturant. This girl was unique. There was a possiblity in Naj's mind that she would make an excellent test subject. If not, then she would make an excellent slave. Naj never stressed over such trivial things.

She wept into her palms, tears staining the fingerless gloves she wore. One woman had rushed towards her from across the road, showing genuine concern, but on getting within a few feet of her had stumbled backwards, clutching at her head and complaining of a headache.

What’s wrong?
Sixteen fourty three!!
No, mother, that's what's different
I don't care what you think
I didn't say that!
That's far too expensive to buy now

“…Khoaxo hoavo do wo,”

Sniffling into her hands, now on her knees, she rocked back and forth trying desperately to concentrate as a myriad of voices screamed at her from within. Over and over she would repeat the same rough sounding sentence, not exactly helping the ‘escaped mental patient’ vibe she was giving off.

Everytime a crowd would start to gather, they would almost immediately disperse in an even more unorderly fashion than the had arrived. It was actually kind of humorous, but none the less strange.

Naj slid through the crowd as best he could. As he neared the girl, he felt almost as if he were going to lose his own concentration. His neatly organized mind for a few moments almost seemed...average.

As he walked up, he leaned down, trying to make himself less threatening......

"Yr'x ahtyclr. Y bez'r lutr ieu"

The sound of another speaking her tongue was both calming and horrifying at the same time. Having more than one of her kind in the same place, both out of control could lead to total chaos. She’d witnessed others become eternally lost in their thoughts as the result of two stumbling upon one another in a moment of weakness. But… somehow this didn’t feel, if there was such a thing, like one of her kind.

She looked up, eyes stinging red. She’d stopped crying, though was still trembling, her body convulsing violently on occasion.

“Ble ato ieu?” she coughed, trying to speak before once again her eyes rolled back into her head and she crumpled backwards, hissing through her teeth as her mind reeled.

"Quyor zeb, ieu duxr xrai gahd xe y gaz cor ieu re xajori."

Naj carefully slid his arm underneath her shoulders, bringing her back to an upright position. It was hard for him to concentrate, especially when trying to speak her language, but Naj fought his lack of focus. He'd become too interested to just leave her...

""Azm ieu gaz gahh do Naj."

The seizure was beginning to wear off. Usually it was just as such – for a short time she’d be taken by it then mental exhaustion would take over and render her unconscious. Before that happened she had perhaps a minute or so of tired conversation.

“El cem… lohk do.”

It didn’t matter who her benefactor was. Whether or not she liked it her life would be in his hands in about thirty seconds time, and there was nothing she could do about it. Growing steadily paler and paler, her breathing slowing, she relaxed and let her eyes fall closed before falling down against the pavement, out cold.

Everyone around kinda seemed to snap out of their delerium, but there was still a confusion in the air as everyone wondered what had happened. Naj didnt bother with trying to figure things out right now, he simply scooped her up in his arms, and made his way from the sight.

He rounded the corner of the nearest building, and cut straight across an alley way that was a shortcut he'd taken to the resturant. It was now his shortcut back to Mephisto.

The woman’s hood had fallen away now. Brilliant red-orange hair had tumbled out and were the clasp on her cowl was loosening some plating could be seen beneath – a likely explanation for why such a slim figure would be so heavy. In no time, without her realizing it, she was being taken inside of a ship a placed carefully, as if she were some fragile object, down into a chair, where her body lulled, head hanging forwards.

What dredged her out of her subconscious partially was the sound of engines. Something was taking off, she could tell that – but what? It would be another ten minutes before she could see clearly and tell just what was going on. For now she was confined to the occasion muffled moan.

Naj glanced back from the pilot's seat a few times to see if his 'passenger' had woken up yet. As far as he could tell, she was awake, but still very disorientated. It took a few minutes to exit Coruscant's atmosphere fully, and get far enough into space that he could make the jump to into hyperspace.

By the time that he had reached lightspeed, the girl had begun to stir even more, so Naj, now free to move around, walked over to her and leaned down again, getting as close to her level as he could, to appear less threatening. His eyes even seemed to dim somewhat.

"Leb ato ieu joohyzc?"

Daria Nytherciria

Daria’s eyes snapped open and she panicked. She had no idea where she was or who this Naj character was – and more importantly just what he was doing with her. Her hands went for her boots but the baldrics were empty, no knives present. Still half bent over, she looked up and saw past the Chiss to a table on which the majority of her inventory had been placed.

She hissed out some indecipherable curse before rising up to her full height, moving with uncanny agility from having been sitting to standing on the chair, both hands clamping in a vice grip against Naj’s temples. A scream spiralled up out of her lips as her natural defense mechanism kicked in – trying to tear the man’s mind apart piece by piece.

"Aaugh!...."

Naj fell as she pounced on him. He felt himself losing focus again, and a hint of confusion invaded his senses. However, his own organized mind took back control, and his arms came up, pushing off her grip on his temple.

Quickly, he backed away, scrambling to his feet at the same time. His eyes went a bit wide as he stared at her, wondering what she was going to do next, and what he would have to do in response...

"Ble ato ieu!"

Daria Nytherciria
Jul 7th, 2003, 04:41:16 AM
As she was pushed aside she rolled up to her feet and froze. Daria narrowed her eyes, only now getting a good look at her captor. He wasn’t a physical spectacle, but she couldn’t hold any sort of ground in close combat without the weaponry that he had obviously removed from her person.

“Bloto ato ieu rapyzc do?!”

Her body tensed a little, as she fought with the prospect of making a move for the blades.

Naj hesitated for a moment, then his eyes saddened a bit. His sulked his shoulders slightly. On the outside, he appeared sorry, and disappointed.

"Khoaxo mezr wo ahatdom..."

He stepped forward slightly, almost as if he were pleading for her to listen..

"Y ad ezhi rtiyzc re kterogr ieu."

Daria Nytherciria
Jul 7th, 2003, 04:57:48 AM
“Bli? Blar jted?!”

In her haste to grain an answer, Daria hadn’t noted the obvious. She could not pilot a ship, and even if she were to over power the man there would be no way of getting back to her home without his help. Still, her fear was the main factor in her decisions right now.

“Y modazm ieu oskhayz ieutxohj et yhh myvyzo di oskhazaryez jted ieut ozrtayhx!”

Naj Arilov
Jul 7th, 2003, 05:20:07 AM
"Rlar beuhmz'r wo byxo"

Naj straightened up his posture a bit. Clearly she wasnt going to be convinced of Naj's benevolence. If nothing else, he would give her the simple facts.

"Y mezr pzeb yj ieu gaz ovoz jyzm ieut bai wagp, wur ovoz yj ieu geuhm, blar beuhm ieu me? Ce wagp azm hyo yz rlo xrtoorx, xgtoadyzc ar rlo rek ej ieut huzcx? Arrtagr ax dugl arrozryez ax kexxywho uzryh rlo aurletyryox hegp ieu abai yz a kammom gohh?"

Naj spoke in a somewhat scolding tone, but not enough to detract from what he was telling her...

Daria Nytherciria
Jul 7th, 2003, 05:29:10 AM
She frowned, but he was right. Her options were slim - return to Coruscant and try to make ends meet – after all, she was the one who’d run away from her home, she’d couldn’t go back there now. The other option was the one that this man was creating for her. She had a horrible feeling he wanted to study her, just like so many scientists had. If that was the case he’d end up dead and she’d end up lost and unconscious, only this time in another location.

She sighed and allowed herself to fall back down into the seat behind her, her whole body seeming to take a much welcome opportunity to relax itself. For a moment she simply gazed down at the ground, before looking up at Naj.

“…Y’d Daria.”

Naj Arilov
Jul 7th, 2003, 05:47:50 AM
Naj smiled warmly and bowed his head slightly.

"Zygo re door ieu Daria, jooh jtoo re cor xedo toxr."

He could sense that she was more or less giving up, rather than being convinced that Naj was trying to help her. Its true, at first he wasnt, and really he couldnt be sure if he was trying to help her now. All he knew is that she had a gift, one that could prove very useful. Curiousity mixed with his own craving of power, at least. His intentions at this point were not exactly good, but his actions at least would be beneficial to her...

"Bo lavo a hezc rtyk ledo, wur ieu ato xajo zeb."

Daria Nytherciria

Her head fell back against the chair and she gave a gruff heavy sigh. One foot lifted, balancing the heel of her boot against the chair as she rubbed at her eyes. What had she said when she’d left her mother? Something about going to find a better life away from the isolation of the Doz’rah. On Coruscant she’d managed to charm a few credits out of people to herself fed, but outside of that she’d accomplished that. It was incredibly disappointing and depressing, and Naj could feel this from her – she was like an emotional beacon.

“…bloto yx ledo?”

Naj Arilov
Jul 7th, 2003, 06:01:11 AM
"A khago dugl quyorot rlaz rlo khago bo fuxr hojr"

Naj simply stated to her as he walked back over to the controls. All the coordinates were set correctly. Their course was set on Koros Major...Now all they had to do was wait..

Daria Nytherciria
Jul 7th, 2003, 06:09:55 AM
That was unsurprisingly vague. Summarizing that the journey was going to take some time, Daria stood up to remove her cloak and draped it back over the seat she’d been on. The Doz’rah were assassins by nature, and as such tended to wear the most sleek soundless attire they could find. Daria appeared to have gone against the grain of this tradition, as she wore a reinforced metallic corset, bracers and a studded skirt made from some kind of animal hide. It made her look like the formidable warrior that she wasn’t.

Lowering herself down into the seat once more, she swiveled in the chair and propped her feet up against a control panel that was just to her right. Daria laid back in the chair, scanning the interior of the ship.

“Leb gaz ieu xkoap di hazcuaco?”

Naj Arilov
Jul 7th, 2003, 06:26:49 AM
"Y jeuzm a weep rlar lam rtazxharom ieut hazcuaco yzre Waxyg. Yr'x rlo ezhi yzjetdaryez yvo wooz awho re agquyto ez ieut guhruto."

Naj remembered when he was young, how he would walk around speaking the language, mainly to annoy his parents when he was bored. He never had many friends growing up, so things of this manner interested him to no end...

Daria Nytherciria
Jul 7th, 2003, 06:33:46 AM
A stifled laugh and she nodded knowingly. No one knew about the Doz’rah save for the Doz’rah themselves. It was through no fault of the people themselves, really. After so many failed attempts at expanding they’d consigned themselves to seclusion, supposedly for the better of the species and the galaxy at large. Daria had never believed any of that. She wasn’t happy following the same routine day to day, she needed some excitement.

“Basic?”

In their ‘education’ the Doz’rath were taught some basic speech in other languages, just one or two phrases. Daria grinned.

“I kill now you.”

Naj Arilov
Jul 7th, 2003, 06:41:12 AM
Naj chuckled at her words, which, were spoken playfully.

"Ze Ze, ieu xai 'I kill you now'.....Me ieu pzeb blar rlar doazx?"

If she knew of Basic, and even knew a few words, it would be easier for her to learn the language. Even if she had no clue what she was saying, her language was easily broken down into Basic...

Daria Nytherciria
Jul 7th, 2003, 06:59:31 AM
“Ze!” Daria laughed,

“Rloi rauclr ux yr wur mymzr oskhyaz yr!”

It was ridiculous, but true. She’d learn three or four word phrases in most of the galaxies tongues, yet she had no idea what a single one of them meant.

Naj Arilov
Jul 7th, 2003, 07:11:54 AM
"Yr doazx 'Y pyhh ieu zeb'.."

Naj's amusement seemed to die down and little, as it hit him why she would only be taught a threat, and have not the slightest clue what it meant....

"Ieut koekho atozr voti pooz ez lavyzc vyxyretx, ato rloi?"

Daria Nytherciria
Jul 7th, 2003, 09:10:22 AM
“Ze, rloi rlyzp yrx worrot rlar ze ezo pzeb bo osyxr. Bo fuxr xood re gauxo glaex blotovot bo ce.”

Aside from her earlier outburst, Daria had caused three traffic accidents, two deaths and five causes of injury. It wasn’t that she was intentionally trying to do any of it, of course. It was just the way she’d been made.

Naj Arilov
Jul 8th, 2003, 06:09:13 AM
"Yrx xryhh zer jayt re pook ieu lym abai."

Naj stated matter of factly.

"Koekho gaz amakr, ax yd xuto ieu byhh."

Daria Nytherciria
Jul 8th, 2003, 10:24:51 AM
“Y’d zer xe xuto.”

Daria shifted in her chair, swinging her boots down from the console back to the ground. She crossed one leg over the other and studied the blue-skinned man for a moment.

Not one of the Doz’rah had ever been pigmented like him – especially with those odd eyes. She wondered how many other species were like that. After all, she’d seen a few odd variations of humanoids and something that looked completely alien on Coruscant. There was no telling what else was out there.

“Bo gaz'r gezrteh eutxohvox xedorydoxs, bo'to a rltoar re eutxohvox azm erlotx.”

"Ieu'vo wooz damo re rlyzp ieu ato gutxom."

Naj's eyes didnt hint any serious emotion, but did hint a bit of wisdom beyond his age.

"Ieu kexxoxx a cyjr Daria, y gaz lohk ieu latzoxx ieut cyjr, wur yr byhh rapo rydo."

Daria Nytherciria

Naj spoke softly, his voice carrying a hint of sympathy...

Daria Nytherciria

Her expression softened a little. It was one somewhere between excitement, anxiety and suspicious – but it came out looked just like a little smile.

“Yj ieu toahhi gaz me rlyx y byhh wo orotzahhi ctarojuh.”

Naj Arilov

Naj smiled warmly. He had a long day, and obviously so had she, it was probably best that they log some rest before arriving at Koros Major. Naj wanted to be alert when Daria met others from the Krath. With her powers as unpredictable as they were now, Naj feared what could happen if she had an episode around an unsuspecting darksider who carried a lightsaber.

"Yr byhh wo di khoaxuto. Hor ux cor xedo toxr"
