Having just came from Hera’s offices, Grev had decided to swing by the bar just to ‘kill some time’ while his ship over went some inspections at the bay. He’d been offline with SFF ever since his departure with the Order, and only until now had he ‘came clean,’ or at least what he wanted to come clean with, with Hera.

He’d gotten off easy, and that was a relief. Now all he wanted to worry about was business, and catching up for lost time. His pockets weren’t getting any fuller, and with no room and board at the Order he hadn’t many options left.

Work was needed and fast. On top of it all Hera seemed more than impatient with his lack of return into the business.

Another shot of whiskey was ordered, and he poured it down with the rest of his worries just like the ones before that.

"Do you really think thats going to help?"

She had been in control when Grev the prodigal had turned up and had monitored the conversation in the bar just as they did with everybody. He was no exception. Nobody was.

It wasnt easy being down on your luck. Daiq remembered all too clearly her early days, living from hand to mouth until finally stumbling across the one person she thought could teach her how to survive. Hera.

Grev had 'made his bones' so to speak and didnt really seem to need a mentor. What he needed was a home. Maybe this time, he'd find one.

As the last bit of the liquid singed down his throat, a head turned to regard the newest guest to his party of self alleviation. He sighed, a grin forming along his rugged scowl.

“Help always come with a price,” he grumbled, “Help’s the last thing I need.”

“This is far from help. Where I want to be.”

She and Grev were close to the same age and no doubt wouldnt appreciate a lecture from her. Maybe she could keep it short and sweet.

Taking a pause in spinning her glass in circles on the table in front of her, Daiq tilted her head to the side as she appraised him.

"You havent been around much, thats true. One thing you'll learn about us is this: once youre a member, youre family. Doesnt mean everyone will like you......some may end up hating you, but when the chips are down we hang together. If you want or need help Grev, all you gotta do is ask."
