Incursion into NR Space

Well, New Republic Naval Officer, and TIE Fighter Pilot said they wanted to RP again. I agreed, being that next time it would be an incursion into their territory. This will be a thread dedicated to planning the recon mission into NR territory. What I had in mind is sending a small fleet, mainly fighters and bombers, and a few weapons testbeds. We go in, deploy to protect our testbeds, and use the testbeds to test their weapons on the NR forces. Then the weapons withdraw, followed by the protecting fleet. The weapons I had in mind was a long range weapon to take out Golan Stations, maybe somethihng like the solar panel mirrors the NR used to Capture Coruscant 4 years after the battle of Endor. Of the other three, I planned to test the Bretta Missile system on larger captial ships, so I had salvaged the hulk of a Dreadnought for this purpose. The other two were long-and-short range weapons for anti-captial ship purposes. Thoughts? Comments?

Is this an exclusively Fleet based RP?

Oh yes, I don't plan to go anywhere near the NR planet. I think pretty much all of their planets are defended by Golan Battlestations, and a good sized fleet. The escort fleet I had in mind for the testbeds includes:
1 Centurion Star Destroyer
6 Carrack class Light Cruisers
4 Lancer Frigates Mk2
2 Escort Carriers
264xTIE Defenders
24xTIE Interceptors

Let me look at the stats, then I may order some from the Corellian Shipyards. They have to be built first.

The new republic is not to be attacked as of yet. No engagements are to met until further orders arrive from me. If you are currently in the stages of doing so, do not disengage. Simply eliminate the enemy and commence ofrtifying your gains in a way that is tactically as well strategically suitable.
