Hey guys!! Glad to see some people playing Galaxies! I personaly love the game--it is really a live action RPG. I've had several 30 minute long IC conversations with different characters.

So far, with Efe', I'm doing pretty well. I've maxed out Entertainment Healing so that I can releive Battle Fatigue basically to the best possible level; I'm a Musician Rank II (almost III) and I've been playing underneath a guy named Shiro Tong who has taken me as his apprentice. There's a big show on Mos Espa on Monday and I might actually be part of the band playing there! So, I've made some friends. :D

Starsider is busy, but for a musician, busy is good! I made 1500 creds in about 3 hours the other night when the cantina was at its peak.

Anyway, if we end up starting a guild on another server, you know'll I'll be there to join with you guys. :)

I just got this game tonight and it's been fun, but am I the only one suffering from slow frame rates? I'm running with 256MB and Everquest ran fine on this pc so I figured SWG would too. Somebody told me it was a bug, so I don't know.

I was looking at system requirments for the game. 256 MB was the minimum. 512 is recommended. The game should run if you have the minimum, but usually if a game like that is running on the bare minimum, performance would most likely be very crappy.

I have it running on like 412 and it seems to be running great. My only problem is the game card I have the bare minium model I trying to look around for a good deal on one right now.

You should be able to find a nice video card for waaay under $300 no problem. Just avoid GeForce MX cards like the plauge. heh

Accutally I've had only a few problems with my Geforce MX, and more problems with a Radeon 9000

I'd say until December last year, ATi's drivers weren't up to par with Nvidia's but they are now. In my experince.

I haven't really had any show stoppers with my 9700, or any major glitches that couldn't be fixed by switching to a driver set my machine liked. Which is nothing new, for a while I refused to run anything but the 28.32 Detonators with my GeForce 3, because the 29.xx and the 30.xx's were garbage, for me.

Also the GeForce 2/4 MXs are dog slow. The 4 MX is just a tweaked GeForce 2 core, and doesn't even support Direct X 8 features.

I am currently playing this game on my friends comp. It is so freaking awesome. I think the best part for me is all the nice people. Alot of people have really helped me out with information and upgrading...
