She was truly one of a kind, a classy lady whose impact on the world of the cinema will never be forgotten. My favorite actress from Hollywood's "golden age."

May she rest in the peace she so richly deserves.

A great big loss for Hollywood, but at 96 I think it's safe to say that she had a GREAT long run.

She was indeed. Her film and stage career was all but unmatched.

We lost another great one today too... I just read a report that Buddy Hackett died late Monday night.

These things always seem to happen in groups of three... I wonder who will be the third? :(

Another fan of madcap B&W comedies. Time for a trip to Blockbuster.

His Girl Friday is my #2 all time comedy and one all time top 20's. They'd rip off pages of dialogue in less than a minute. Great stuff.

And now a third famous and beloved person is gone in just the past week.

Singer Barry White died Friday morning of kidney failure.

Definitely one of the best and most memorable voices in modern music. :(

Now it's Buddy Ebsen, perhaps best known to the public at large as Jed Clampett in the Beverly Hillbilliies.

Wow, we've been losing a lot of celebrities lately. :(
