Okay all humor aside...it's time to do something about him.
http://sw-fans.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=29740
There's the thread...here's the post:
OOC: I didn't know you could create more than one account, so I am using more than one character in my current profile, and I will make appropriate changes, but for now..............
::Obelisk watched as a new woman appeared, one wielding katanas. He watched as she landed, then she gestured. Suddenly, he watched as a piece of a landspeeder came straight at him. Using the only trick he knew for this situation, he held his hands in front of him, and gathered the force into them. The piece of wreckage hurtling torwards him slammed into him full on, and sent him flying against the wall of the hangar bay. There he was, pinned against the wall of the hangar bay by the piece of wreckage, but relativly unharmed. Using his one free hand, he withdrew his lightsaber, and with four quick slices, he was free. He walks over to where the lizard is at, rolling on the ground in pain. He slaps bacta bandages on the areas where the lizard had sustained saber injuries, then turned, and walked slowly torwards the newest newcomer, a dark intent cast into his eyes::
suggestions?
Outside of a full lobotomy?
It's fairly obvious god-moding, and I'm sure Vega'll point it out. But we do need to do something about him.
He doesn't respond to PMs (I don't think he ever read the one I sent him about his sig)...he sounds like he's been trying to avoid rules like a child would a parent...it's time we did do something.
And soon.

You need to have him do something twice though really. Aside from being a nuisence, he hasn't really done anything.
I have a funny way to add Oddball to that thread, but I know people would murder me first :)

He does need some kind of warning, since his current behavior ins't really direct grounds for banning without warning first.

Okay how does this sound:
Warning 7-18-03
Admiral Kraken, this is an official warning from the staff regarding your conduct here, at SWForums.net.
You have been called out several times by several roleplayers and some staff members for God-moding. Many of our members have tried to help you with making your posts contingent with SWForum Roleplaying policy and precident. You have not, as of now, taken any of the warnings or messages seriously. You have admitted that your posts are flawed in this way, and yet have made no attempt to change your roleplaying ways to fit in with the FAQ and rules.
Furthermore, you have disrespected the post-timing rule (or you have posted out-of-turn) on several occassions. Being that we are an internet based community, you must give fellow roleplayers a chance to respond to your posts before you post another play. You have done this repeatedly, and also admitted to doing so, yet you have made no attempt to change your ways to fit in with the FAQ and rules.
All in all, several people have told you where you're violating the Roleplaying FAQ (as stated above), you have admitted to doing so, and several people have been courteous enough to help you learn the SWForum ways. However, you continue to disrespect both the Godmoding and Posting-in-turn rules. Hence, this is your official warning to cease such activity, or banning will ensue.
For the record, you have previously been warned for swearing (or setting off the swear filter), and also for your sig not meeting the criteria set forth by the SWFans general FAQ. This warning would represent the third and fourth occassion where you have violated SWForum policy. This is not likely taken, nor looked upon positively.
We suggest that you comply with the SWForum general and roleplaying FAQ, or risk banning.
If you have any questions or comments, you may PM me and I will relay it to the SWForums Staff.
Thank you for your time.

Hey finally replied yesterday:
Okay, I just returned from a long vacation, so this seems to be as good a time as any to start off fresh. The Sig was an accident, and was taken care of before I could respond, and as for the God Moding, I've tried to skimmer down, but I find it hard to start off a newbie Jedi, so to avoid complications, I'm going to stop the Jedi stuff until I learn more on how Jedi are played out here.

>>RPs such as that would belong in the Storytelling forum, as far as I know. That does not negate the godmoding in your posts in any shape or form. The warning still stands.
Admiral Kraken wrote on Today 10:21 PM:
When I started the Forbidden Pleasures thread, way back I don't know how long, it was intended to be a thread where people from other groups could come together and RP as anyone they wanted to be. I didn't set limits to the thread, and I invited people in to play as Imperials, and others with fleets that really don't exist to play out the storyline.
When I saw Ballistic, and where it said that it was following on the heels of Forbidden Pleasures, I assumed that it was based on the same type of RP as Forbidden Pleasures was, where people could come in under any allegiance they wanted, with as many forces as they wanted, and have fun. Well, apparently I made the wrong assumption. In addition, I missed the OOC thread for it, and after looking at the dates for the post, means I missed them while on vacation, so I had no idea what was going on here. What do you want me to do to make omends for it?

Upon further review...as much as the boards would be better without Kraken...I kinda think he may've actually just missed the OOC thread about it.
He does need to fix his post though (if he hasn't all ready), and he needs help when it comes to RPing.
Let me think about this reason being the reason we ban him.

I think mayybe we should give s'Il a chance to work with him before banning this time.
http://meras.org/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8145
EDIT: And just so its known, this isn't because I am getting soft again, this is because in more ways than one, this is an entirely new situation. We have not in the past ever banned anyone for god moding. And in this instance we have a formal request from a current meber of the community in very good standing to not take any action yet as she would like to work with Kraken to get him going in the right direction.
I would really like to see Kraken improve if at all possible and attempting to facilitate that change might be better in the end than just being done with him right away.

A)Explain himself or

A full ban affects the entire community and should be at least discussed with the group mods before it occurs since this is not a case of his back talking/disrespecting a staff member directly, which in my book is an instant out the door with explanations after the fact.

Let me know when you have sent him an email notifying him, and I will do the deed of banning all of his names and his email address.
I also recommend that you compose a Forum Announcment to post in the RP section of forums notifying the community of the situation. It would probably be good to include a list of his names in the announcement to make it clear to all who is gone.
The easiest way to get a list of the names affected is to do a user search via email addy.

Kraken:
On numerous occasions, starting back in July of this year, you have been warned for subverting the swear filter, circumventing board policy, posting out of turn, and godmoding. You have said all the right things, that you were sorry, that you'd work on it, and yet...you have not.
Individual posters have taken some of their own time and tried to help you work into the SWFans RPing enviroment. You have listened, and still done things your own way.
On October 18th your posts in <a href=http://swforums.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&threadid=32361&perpage=50&pagenumber=1>Testing SecCorp</a>, specifically posts #74 and #85, were judged as godmoding, due to your character Duke Quells' position as a Sith Apprentice - not a Knight or a master.
You have been given many chances to adjust and change, and were served your last warning on 08-09-03 in post 85 of this thread. (http://www.swforums.net/forum/showthread.php?s=&postid=565011#post565011) Due to these circumstances, you are being banned from the SWFans.Net Forums. If you try to return with another character, or another email address, you will be found and banned again.
I am sorry it had to come to this, but you leave us with no choice. This was brought before the RPing Mods and Admins of SWFans.Net and this course of action was agreed on by the Group Mods of SWFans.Net as well. We wish you well in your other ventures.

To Whom It May Concern:
The RPer known as Admiral Kraken has been banned from these forums for unrepentantly subverting the swear filter, circumventing board policy, posting out of turn, and for multiple cases of godmoding.
He was served his last warning on August 9th of this year, and on October 17th he was found to be godmoding once more. Therefore, as we have no more 'last warnings,' it was decided by the RPing Moderators and Admins, as well as the Group Moderators of SWFans.Net, to ban him from these forums.
The characters and screen names affected by this ban are as follows:
Admiral Kraken
Bremen
Commodore Kessler
Duke Quells
Hapan Expeditionary Fleet
Hares'Duru'Nurudo
Jitthre'n'turudo
Kamehameha
Lance Freestar

hmmmm, maybe I can hack it in so it does.
EDIT: Nope, no can do, its template/PHP based and the URL doesn't change.

He aimed me a few times asking if people were wondering why he was banned, etc. Ugh.

No one is wondering why 'cause I told them all why.

Here is what Kraken had to say:
When I first came to Star Wars Fans, I knew little or nothing of Role-Playing. I also made the mistake of not reading the FAQ, and had poor judgement of what my character(s) could and could not do. I learned over time, but not before I had collected a fair amount of warnings for constact mistakes, such as violating posting order and comitted a fair amount of God-Moding. Other such mistakes I made was setting off the swear filter, and other accounts. By the time of Semptember, I had settled in nicely, in my opinion, in the role of Fleet RPing. I continued to make mistakes, yes, but I quickly learned from them. But the fact was, since I had so many mistakes, and warnings chalked up on my records, meant any deviation of course and I was effectivley ka-put. However, when someone had a problem of an action I had comitted in this time period, all they had to do was ask me PM, or OOC, and I corrected the error. Then I decided to try out another Force character. Based on my obviously poor judgement on what apprentices can, and cannot learn, I thought I could learn at least one or two techniques per training thread. Based on this, after my first training thread was done, I thought I could try those techniques out in the Testing SecCorps thread. Not only did the Mods not agree with my judgement, but they never sent me a PM, or told me by any other means that they considered my new techniques to be God-Moding by the fact that I was rated as an apprentice.
So, what I propose is this:
I wait three or more months in order to wait until everything, and everyone "Cools Down". I take this time to further my RPing efforts. My current accounts are deleted also. Then, permission pending, I come back with only one account and one character, and only Fleet RP, the only kind of RPing that I feel I am best at.
What are your thought(s) on this matter?
Sincerely,
*Name removed*

It'll need to be more than just three to four months. I told (I think Zasz) to suggest him go to TRF for Fleet work.
But the thing is, it was more than just godmoding and stuff. I know he drove Telan nuts with some of his ideas and plans. He needs more than just polishing to be better.
A year...then maybe...but three to four months...no.

I sent no response, but got this from him today:
Dear Ogre, could you have one of the moderaters delete my accounts?
Admiral Kraken.I would rather not delete his accounts so his IPs can be kept on record.

I got an email from him, sent from the account he just registered on Meras. Otherwise, I have no idea how he got my email. ^_^;
Anyway I didn't reply. I have it saved somewhere, unless I was a dork and deleted it.

No worries. I took your comments here as a complaint against him and have banned him from Meras now as well, after Kitty said if there was a complaint he was gone.

lol ok fine with me. He wouldn't have had any fun there anyway, as we don't RP there much. :)
