As soon as he could he and some other defectors, while on patrol duty, made a hyperspace jump to the earest imperail held world and handed over the Carrack-class light cruiser they were assigned to, as well as 2 A-Wing MK2's and a Delta-IV escort shuttle that were in the small hangar bay.)

Reason for defecting: The New Republic found got a tip on an imformation transaction between Imperial inteligence and an imperial agent in the NR. The imperials were in a cantina called THe Lucky Lockup when NR forces entered and attacked. Telerans father, a scientist, was also at the bar with a few colleges. In the mayem Tel's father wasn shot dead by a NR trooper. 5 imperials, 3 NR troopers, and 12 civillians were also killed or injured. Captain Balades was enrage at the New Republic, esspecialy when the tried to cover up all evidence of the raid and didn't inform the rest of the family about the murder.
Teleran decided that the New Republic system had fallen appart and took advantage of their citizens, he defected as soon as he could after that.)
