Design Specifications: The Devastator is designed to house a weapon that can level entire enemy bases with a single shot, and take down Golan Defense platforms with two or three shots. Taking up most of the fuselage is the barrel, and aiming mechanism for the device, along with the receptors, and chargers for the shots. The Support Compartments are latched onto the rear section of the fuselage, giving the cruiser the apperance of a Rocket ship. The Support Compartments house the heavy weapons, engines, and starfighters for the cruiser.
Stats for the Shock Cannon:
The Shock Cannon as mentioned above is a Siege weapon. Mulitpule High Capacity Powerplants charge up to produce a powerful beam of energy. Rather than being a High Powered Laser shot, it is a raw ball of energy that explodes when it comes into contact with shields, hull, or a planet's surface. Special repulsors lined along the length of the barrel propel the ball of energy faster, and faster, so it has a low chance of missing it's target.
The estimated rate of fire is one shot per 2 minutes.
If it is fired at a ground target, everything within a 500 meter of the point of impact will be utterly incinerated, while if it hit's a shielded target, the shield will most likely overload, with anything near the shielded target being again incinerated by a exploding ball of energy.
