It sucks being unemployed. But still, being careful and being a scavenger, I've finally got a PC working I like. Eh, it's not flash, but considering it owes me the grand total of 50 dollars..... I'm happy.

300 w Power supply (found in dumpster)
Case (Just lying around)
600 mhz Celeron (In storage for 4 years)
256 mb memory (Had to buy one stick for $25)
15 year old stereo with 2 * 200w speakers (Proper 200w, not the pee wee 240w BS PC stuff)
10Gb HDD (raided from another system)
XP (again, found in dumpster)
3Dfx Banshee vid card ($25)
1 * 17 inch monitor (raided from a scrap pile)
1* 19 inch flat screen (raided from another system)
And with USB Compaq keyboard and a Microsoft Optical mouse, not a bad little system for bugger all dollars. The twin monitors rules.

Now if I can raid the twin 1 Gb Xeon system Helen has and twin monitor that.........

I'm amazed the things you can build for almost no outlay.

And just how did you know PS was dedicated to one monitor ryla? :D

I think she was refering to Morg's piccy of his dual monitors.

But I think we can all agree on seeing PS on one of your monitors, Marcus. It's a given. :p

Get a modern PCI video card, preferably of the same brand your main video card is, or get a new video card with dual outputs. That would be almost every card for over $70.
