The lights on the stage illuminated the area for all to see.....all save for the very man on the stage. The light merely cast a glowing warmth, but still did nothing for the darkness in his eyes. He rubbed the strings of his blues guitar, listening to the hiss of them. As he flicked the thick nail of his thumb with his pointer finger, he began to play, picking a few strings, and tuning them as the blues rhythm begins. It starts slowly, the notes resounding through the bar, making the crowd listen. The notes are bassed and melancholic, a true symbol of the blues. The riffs are slow and tenutoed, each note holding its own, making the old man tug at the heartstrings of every inhabitant of the bar as if they were each a part of a much larger guitar. As the chords go on, the guitarist seems in pain, as if his heart is broken. His trademarked smile is not there, but is replaced by a solemn frown. He shakes his head as he continues the piece. Holding the audience in the utter state of sadness, he then picks it up a little, both in tempo and in key, playing fast riffs of high-registered notes, playing the riffs so fast that the crowd appalauds. He then gets the rhythm going as if he is going to sing. He smiles that trademark smile, a huge grin of emaculate teeth as he speaks to the crowd.

"Come on, now, y'all. Clap with me. I got a little blues fo' you."
