:crack :crack :crack

O yes, yours truly may soon be getting one. My sister wants one, I want one, and we've both managed to get my mom to agree to it. Now the only obstacle is my dad, and if he relents, then not only will I get my ink done, but I'll also get $50 of it paid for by the parentals.

:cool damn this rules.

Charley

Wolves are awesome. I wish I had a pet wolf, but the closest I've ever gotten is a Germen Shepard/Wolf.

Charley

Ink has now been approved. :cool

I'll be going down to my local parlor, to assure my mom that the place is on the level and a good establishment (which it is). I'm friends with the staff there, and all my friends have gotten their work done from that spot.

Oh well. Kids these days. I wanna see it though, really. :)

Dae Jinn
Jun 19th, 2003, 10:58:44 PM
Hopefully they have good artists at that place. I'd hate for you to get something ugly inked.:lol

Charley
Jun 19th, 2003, 11:01:48 PM
I can vouch personally for the quality of work at this place. All my friends have had their ink done there, and a bunch of my friends work there. Extremely talented, safe, clean, and professional. I would recommend no other tattoo parlor like this one.

an opps would be bad too, supposedly Britney Spears went in to get a Chinese tattoo, she wanted to get "mysterious" but a mistake was made and she now has "strange"...

I'm friends with the inkers there. I'm not getting shafted whatsoever. My friend got 3 chinese characters that run down his back that say "Faith", "Wisdom", and "Strength". And they are all confirmed to be correct.

Unlike this short guy I saw at the water park who had the Japanese Kanji for Tall on his back. You can tell he had no idea what it ment.

If I get a Tattoo, its going to be the Thundercats Symbol! BOOYA!

I want a tattoo, but I'm short of the funds and want to wait a long, long, long time to make sure it's what I want.

Char-burger, that sounds awesome! Watch out tho, they are addictive. My sister has 6 and is planning on completing an entire backpiece eventually.

I kind of like tattoos... but only on other people. Some people can make it look good, others can't. I feel I'm one of those people that can't. So, I will probably never get one.

Dae Jinn
Jun 20th, 2003, 12:17:44 AM
So, you're getting it on your arm?(is just guessing by the tan comment)

I'd get one, but I hate needles, and blood. And pain >_< So no tattoos or piercings (god, childhood trauma keeps me from getting pierced ears! :lol) for me.

Since I know everyone at the shop, I can also get a special deal on mine. Extra cheap price of 75 bux :cool

Ka' el Darcverse
Jun 20th, 2003, 06:33:46 AM
Wow that's kinda expensive at least for what they cost up here. 50/60 dollars for a normal sized shoulder tatoo is what they cost here. But there are also about 5 or 6 Tatoo parlors competeing for college students money.

Charley
Jun 20th, 2003, 09:05:14 AM
For the quality of work they do, I'd be willing to pay more. I trust these people very much

The Jews who control the money and make the rules :p (no one take offense, I am kidding ... I'm jewish myself)

I don't think my mom would lie to me about something like that anyway

Charley
Jun 20th, 2003, 09:16:23 AM
That sucks. Must be the whole "cleanliness of body" and kosher thing? (Idiot who can only guess about Judaism)

Navaria Tarkin
Jun 20th, 2003, 09:20:34 AM
That probably is it... but my love for my grandparents and being with them outweights a need for a tatoo ... sucks but my grandfather was MY father to me, and my grandmother was my second mother. Grew up with them since I was four.

Charley
Jun 20th, 2003, 09:21:57 AM
That's understandable. I respect my parents' decisions about these kind of things since they've done so much for me anyway. The only reason I'm getting one is because they said so :)

That seems like a really good deal. When I was thinking about having one done they told me that just the general shop fee for the tattoo was $70 and then they would charge for the actual picture $20 or $30 more. I think the price scared me more than that huge needle he was going to use. :lol I got a navel piercing instead.

Cassidy Williams
Jun 20th, 2003, 01:51:13 PM
Excellent.

I hate needles but I got a tat done last year. Half of it anyway. I screamed the whole time, and my buddy Merc had to hold me down. That's why part of it is all squiggly :D

The closest I've ever gotten to tattoos are those temp ones. Had a rose on my right ankle one time, and later a black/purple panther prowling up my left shoulder blade.

No, really, nothing to do with AB and LV... (yeah, right :lol) :p

Its an all black tattoo of a wofl hed, and its muzzle is closed, and the head is tilted downwards a bit. Its a simple, clean design.

Char...can't wait to see it! Price is good for what you described. :)

Charley

Vegz, I don't want yellow & red for a tattoo. Those will be the quickest colors to fade, especially with a tan. I don't like colored tattoos at all.

Charley

:lol well there ARE certain places on the body that is more sensitive than others. I got my two done on both bisceps and they didnt hurt much.

Charley
Jun 21st, 2003, 09:46:44 AM
Abs aren't exactly the best places for tattoos. They hurt like hell.

Also, those barbed wire tattoos are pains from what I've heard...when you get on the underside of the arm >_<

imported_Ezra
Jun 21st, 2003, 09:53:03 AM
thats true, the underside of the arms is a bit sensitive as my flame design did go a bit into that area.

Charley
Jun 21st, 2003, 09:59:18 AM
The upper arm shouldn't be so bad. I've had 3 inch needles plunged into there, and didn't bat an eye.

imported_Ezra

imported_Ezra

Not much, Fett :lol thats why I said didnt hurt...much :D cause to be honest, there are a couple times when youre going to arch an eyebrow and say "heeeeey, I felt that" lol when my flash work hit the underside of my arm I did exactly that :lol

LD, that is true...you want to have a tatt that looks good and you can be happy with, as theres no "erasing" it once it's on.

You really need to load yourself with protein and do a workout with heavy weights, and low repetitions. Go ahead and drink grape juice in place of any sodas or anything, the sucrose will help get the most out of your workout, ESPECIALLY if you're loading with creatine.

Aside from that....no idea. I can get you something drawn up if you need it.

The blue of the eye is the most color I want in it. I don't like color-happy tattoos...they end up looking too busy for me. This is simple and effective.

Update:

It stopped bleeding last night, but now its a bit swollen, hot to the touch, and feels like a deep sunburn. Hurts to put a shirt on >_<

If I ever get a tatoo, it would be on my right butt cheek, with a red lips kissing a French Flag, or something like that.

I hope for your sake and the sake of anyone who has to see you naked, that you never get a tattoo.

It doesn't hurt. At most, its like somebody poking a sunburn. It gets annoying, yes...but doesn't hurt.
