Now this is stupidest thing I have heard of it shows Spike Lee is a moron

Viacom's TNN went to court Tuesday in an effort to spike Spike Lee's injunction against the cable network's decision to change its name to Spike TV. Requesting an immediate stay of the injunction, lawyers for the company claimed that it had already cost the cable network $16.8 million and that, if it remains in effect, could cause it to lose in excess of $42 million. Johnnie Cochran, the lawyer representing Lee, shot back that if the network was allowed to use the name, it would result in irreparable damage to his client, since he would forever be associated with the "demeaning, vapid, and quasi-pornographic content of Spike TV."

That is so ludicruous My first name is Layton and there is a rental agency named Layton near me I guess I could sue them because they have no right to use my name talk about idiocy. Still I am not surprised to see Cochran involved in this.

Notice how Spike Jonze and Spike Jones have not stepped up? Maybe it's because they realize that the word Spike doesn't refer to anybody.

And, in the word spike's defense, it happens to have several meanings, the most common of which is a pointy opject, such as spoked hair There are also Ralroad Spikes and Electrical Spikes, too.

I hope Spike and Johnnie lose miserably. All TNN has to do is point out that they run very few Spike Lee movies, and that the dictionary lists spike as a word, and Spike Lee is not in the definition.

I think Spike Lee would be better off focusing his time on making better films. His recent run of projects has ranged from mediocre to god-awful.

TNN also just needs to point out that Spike isn't even the guy's real first name, and that he was hardly the first to use it (ie. the aforementioned Spike Jones and Spike Jonze.)

I hope the judge makes Spike Lee pay for all of the legal fees at the end of this one, just for being a jackass and clogging up the legal system with this nonsense.

What? Oh, man, since Spike isn't his real name there's no way he'll get anything!

I mean, that's just rediculous! He hasn't made a good film since "Do the Right Thing" anyhow.
