View Full Version : General Question Regarding Personal Pics

I'm not sure who should answer this question but I'm relatively new to the board so I'm not sure what is/is not acceptable for personal pics. I've read through the thread that restricts what actor/character a person is allowed to use however it doesn't really touch base on what is allowed as far as what your character might be wearing goes.

Obviously anything pornographic or sexually explicit is going to be out of the question however are there any specific rules regarding how much a character needs to be wearing? I really don't want to offend anyone if I happen to find a pic that's a little racy.

Racy? Name some one of us that does not have an impure thought now and then. Post the pic you are hinting to as an attachment, and then we'll judge. But that's a strong word - the decision is yours, if it can be explained.

Well I don't think it's too bad but other people may not appreciate it. I know this board has a lot of different rules. Anyhow, here it is below. Let me know what you think.

the board is PG-13. anything that will fit in with that would be the guide.

Nope, but upload to geocities and change the .jpg to .txt and you should be able to link out.

Yeah, that pic's pretty tame compared to some other stuff floating around. It would be fine, if it wasn't already used by Grace (above). :)

A personal pic (a.k.a. "avatar") cannot be any larger than 150 pixels by 150 pixels and this...

Yeah, I found it very frustrating when I tried to load 1,000x1,000 or something like that pics of Executor for my Tormentor Avater, but I solved that solution with my signature pic.

In that case Admiral did you just have to reduce the size and then upload the picture?

Just make sure the demensions are under 150 x 150 and the size of the file isn't over 15 K(I think that's the limit...?). So 149 X 149 would be fine. Then, after it's saved on your HD as a JPG or GIF(those are the recommended types, png isn't widely supported) you just go to your control panel, click "avatar", then follow the directions. :)

Any file over those limitations simply won't be uploaded and won't show up.
