So, after talking about it a bit with the other mods, we are going to open up this forum to be the PRIVATE SFF MEMBERS forum for the board.

I hope everyone is ok with that.

Before we give general access to everyone, does anyone have any threads they want moved or archived? This forum, till now, being a private forum- some RL info has been posted here and there and I dont want to violate anyones privacy.

Just let me know, or if you have any objections, observations or comments, please say so :)

Jenn

We havent heard anymore about any of your games, Jenn. How are they going? Tagged anyone out yet? Knocked anyone down? :D

Nah, no tagging. I dont think your allowed contact in this league.

We had an "exhibition" game on Wed - (fancy name for a game that doesnt matter in the standing so lets drink more coolers) - and we lost 9 - 11 which isnt so bad.

I gotta run quicker..or hit further. My daughter says I need to run like there "is hope" that I wont get out lol. That pretty much sums it up. I run without hope :lol

Ok, this forum is open now..once I change the names for access.

:)

lmao!! Hugs to Jaders for "is hope". Thats too damn funny!!

'Tagging' someone is when the ball is in your glove and you touch them with it, causing the other player to be 'out' :)

Yeah, I know what tagging is. But this league there are rules to keep from folks crashing into each other.

For example, you are never allowed to touch home plate. If you do - its automatic out. You run home behind it. This stops peeps crashing into the backcatcher.

Also, firstbase bag is twice the size - the runner is supposed to only touch the back part, and the baseman stays on the front part.

Again, this is to stope the 220lb batter steamrolling into the 125lb frist-base girl.

So, long story short, I think the tagging thing is out too - but I really should check that one...seeming im on first :p

What? They took tagging out?

But...but...one of my most fond memories was steam-rolling a catcher in Little League (then getting steam rolled a few games later).

Both plays ended up being 'outs'.

I got tagged but never steamrolled. In highschool I weighed 'bout 120 but I was solid and strong. I knocked a couple over but nnone ever got to the Daiqers *smirks*

Jenn, I think youre talking about safety bases. We have them but only at first base. the front of the base is white, which is what the 1st baseman tags and the back is orange/red, which is where the runner crosses/tags.

I didnt mean to sound condescending about the tags. I misunderstood what you were saying, sorry.

I didnt think you were being condescending, Daiq :)

Yeah, thats exactly what the first base is - the red and white split.

As for the steamrolling etc etc...rem its us oldies playing and boneses breakses - they kinda want to avoid all that . But having said that, Im still not certain if you are alowed to tag. Really gotta find out about that..

Yah, cos Id hate for a runner to make it to the bag and be safe when you coulda tagged'im out :uhoh
