A test of skill (open)

[Dark Lord Rivin]

Rivin walks into an empty training room, not bothering to turn the lights on, he drops his cloke off at the side of the room. He draws both of his lightsabers and activates them both, while walking to the center of the room. He starts to practice on his own, like he is very much use to doing....

Slash....slash.... spin.... jab..... hack.... parry....parry... flip...

In the dark his Dance of Death looks very much like he is surround by the deadly red blades. He continues his fight with air, slowly making his moves faster and faster, and closer and closer to his body... One small slip could meen his Death.

Zereth had not been in the training area for a while now he saw someone practicing his lightsaber skills

He walked over to the light switch and turned them on then he turned to face Rivin "thats a very nice lightsaber you got there" Zereth removed his black cloak and laided it down on a bench

"why dont we have a spar" He unsheathed one of his long swords "but lets have a apar of swords instead of lightsabers" He grabed his other long sword and threw it handle first toward Rivin "let us begin."

Rivin deactivates his lightsabers, and clips them to his belt after the lights turn on. Rivin does not respond to the complement but nods at the request for a spar. He catches the sword in his right hand as it reaches him, and puts himself into a defencive postion.

He waves his left hand in a come-on motion....

"Very well.... Begin"

[Zereth Lancer]

Zereth holds his sword infront of him as he slowly walks toward Rivin then he charged holding his sword his his right hand and useung his left to throw a weak force blast at Rivin's chest then he broght his sword down toward Rivin's chest.

[Dark Lord Rivin]

Rivin falls into a shoulder role off to his Left side getting out of the way of the blast and sword slash, halting his role so he is on his left knee and his right foot, off to Zereth's right side. As he comes out of the role he swing his sword at the back of Zereth's knees.

Zereth back fliped over Rivins swing, when he landed he said "very nice" and sent a round house kick aimed at Rivins ducked form

Rivin quickly stands and steps backwards, swinging his sword like a baseball bat, so the flat of blade was going to contact the spinning foot aimed for where he was.

[Zereth Lancer]

Zereth let the blade smack his foot making him spin in the air, as he spun he brought his other foot out and hit Rivin in the chest.

[Dark Lord Rivin]

Before the foot contacts, Rivin uses the force to push Zereth about 2 meter(6 feet) away from him, and takes another defencive stance.

[Zereth Lancer]

Zereth landed on his feet and ran at Rivin, He slashed with his sword aimed at Rivins feet.

[Dark Lord Rivin]

Rivin Brings his sword down to block his opponent's slash, and sends his left foot out as a snapkick to Zereth's chest.

OOC: stop god modeing

IC:Zereth fell backwards when Rivins kicked him, He lashed out his foot and knocked Rivin off his feet then he got to his and backed away a few feet.

(OOC: Rivin is not GMing, Zereth. Technically, his skills are a bit more advanced than yours, so what he's doing is fine. Most of his moves are actually defensive, i.e. blocking/avoiding.

Please refrain from blatantly using the term "GMing" when things don't seem to be going the way you wish them to go.)

Rivin trys to move out of the way of Zereth's foot, but gets hit in the leg, causing him to fall backwards into a backwards role, where he flips himself back onto his feet into a crouched postion and awaits for another attack.

[Zereth Lancer]

Zereth put his sword infront of himself in a defensive position "your skills are far more advance then a thought" He grined and held his position.

[Dark Lord Rivin]

Rivin smile at his opponent's comment....

"I 've had a bit of practice...."

Rivin quickly stands and charges at Zereth, bringing his sword on a downward slash that is aimed to cut Zereth from his left shoulder, to his left hip.

[Zereth Lancer]

Zereth brought his sword up and blocked Rivin's attack then he brought his knee out and hit Rivin in the chest knocking him back then Zereth charged and slashed toward his right lower side.

[Dark Lord Rivin]

Rivin steps back just as the knee contacts his chest causing the hit to only be a glancing blow, and not really getting him to stumble back more than a few inches.

Before Zereth can finish puting his foot back on the floor from kneeing him Rivin uses the force to pull up on the only foot touching the ground, and quickly follows the pull with a downward slash to where Zereth should hit the floor.

Zereth force pushed Rivin away as he fell toward the floor, He wuickly got to his feet and launched another slash this time aimed at Rivin's chest.

[Dark Lord Rivin]

Rivin get's thrown backwards, does a flip in the air and lands on his feet with the help of the force to steady his landing. Seeing the slash to his chest comming, he drops down into a foot sweep bringing himself under the attacking blade, and attempting to knock Zereth's feet out from under him.

[Zereth Lancer]

Zereth moved ihs feet out of thte way and then pulled his sword back and launched another attack aimed at Rivins knee's.

[Dark Lord Rivin]

As soon as his foot sweep misses, he plants the sweeping foot on the floor and transfers the momentum from his leg to his body, letting himself spin back to his feet, and spep away from Zereth.

Though he did this quickly, it was not quick enough to escape all injury. Zereth's blade comes down and shaves a small chunk of flesh off his left leg. Rivin ignores the pain, and fires a Force Blast at Zereth's chest.

Zereth got knocked onto his back and the air knocked out of him

He got to his feet while gasping for breath and charged Rivin and slashed at his chest with all the power he had.

[Dark Lord Rivin]

Rivin does a shoulder roll under the the slash so that his roll lands him in a crouched postion behind Zereth, and of to his left side.

Rivin sends an upward slash at Zereth's rear-end.

[Zereth Lancer]

Zereth dived forward and barely dodged Rivin's attack, He was now gasping for air and was too weak get to his feet and his sword had fallen out of his hands and was out of reach

He rolled over on to his back and looked up at Rivin "you are very skilled, and it seems you are the winner of this spar" Zereth streched his hand out "would you mind helping me up?"

[Dark Lord Rivin]

Rivin stands up completely, and after placing the sword on the floor, Rivin walks over to Zereth, grabs him by the arm and pulls him to his feet...

"I have had a lot of practice... 5 hours per day, from that age of 7 to the age of 20, then 2 hours per day from the age of 20 to now... I have always been best at my saber combat... Though you are not all bad, but you still nead practice"

[Zereth Lancer]

"yes, I do not have very much practice" He went and picked up the swords and returned them to the sheaths on his back "you are the most skilled man I have ever had the honor of sparing with."

[Dark Lord Rivin]

Rivin just gives a cold smile....

"Then you must have not sparred with many people..... Thank you for the workout.... But I must be going now "

Rivin turns and walks out of the room, after giving Zereth a small bow in respect....

Zereth watched him leave then he walked off into the darkness of the sith training grounds.
