After the incident in L.A. where Brian O’Conner let his mark go because he had become to close to him, he now finds himself on the lam wanted for several crimes including aiding and abetting. That’s why he has found himself in South Florida living the life he once idolized. He is now the top street racer and has himself a fast car and even a faster life filled with excitement and hot women, but the law is not done with him just yet. There is a top drug dealer in his neck of the woods Carter Verone whom the police want more than anything and our willing to forgive all Brian’s previous transgressions if he helps them capture him. This is how Brian finds himself in a sting to capture him and bring him in where he is given his deal. Carter Verone wants two top-notch street races to run a job for him before he blows town and the police want Brian to be one of those street racers. They even have a police officer deep inside his organization Monica that has been undercover for nearly a year tracking his movements. But Brian refuses to do the deal unless he can pick the second driver, for which he chooses his old schoolhouse friend Roman Pearce to come along for the ride. The only problem is that Roman hates the police and hates Brian for being one of them. There also is the problem whether Monica has been compromised and whether or not the mission will get Brian and Roman killed. But it’s all or nothing as the two fugitives go deep undercover for the ride of their lives.
The movie is loud, it is obnoxious, the plot and story is weak or non-existent, the acting is sub par and as much as I want to hate this movie I actually found myself liking it. It is like a roller coaster ride where you can either throw up or just sit back and enjoy the ride and I found myself enjoying the ride very much so. This is one of those movies that you are ashamed to admit that you liked. It is action packed start to finish in a movie fueled by car chases, fast cars, amazing action sequences, hot women and all the T & A they could fit in and still maintain a PG-13 rating. It is like an adrenaline rush that takes you too new and amazing places. If a movie was trying to capture the award for best popcorn film ever they did a good job as they seemed to not care that the characters, story, plot and drama were all horribly done as long as they could blow you away with the action, the adventure and the wonderful ride this movie turned out to be. Honestly this is a movie for the guys and those who don’t care if there is a story or even a plot as long as the movie is loud, fast and furious. Better then the first movie, check, hot women, check, fast cars, check, action packed, check, Vin Who, check.
