If anybody see a 2002/2003 Red Dodge Viper, missing pasenger side mirror, and has a shoulder/head shaped smash in his pasenger side window.... Let me know.... So I can use the side of myself that doesn't hurt to bash him over the head with his missing mirror, and give him a medical bill for him to pay for me!!

Just so people know.... I'm in the hospital right know, typing with two fingers on my laptop(that was thankfuly no damaged), due to the broken left arm, broken left shoulder, cracked skull and intence road rash from when said Dodge Viper ran a red light and snagged it's pasenger side mirror on my backpack and dragged me for 2 blocks before the pasenger side mirror broke off and he kept going.

Soooo... until I get better I will be VERY slow to reply. Or I may tell Mitara my pasword and have her take over Garen so threads I am in won't stall.... Thank you for understanding.... And if you see that Viper.....KILL HIM!!

Vega: You can say that again and about 100 times for every letter I type..

Makoto: It's actualy more like my body looks like it is more bandage and plaster than it is flesh. but 'two blocks' is not far off from accurate.

Daiquiri: I probably would have gotten a look at the number but I was more worried about living. I think somebody half of the # but... I'm not sure.

J'ktal: Your about the 25 person in the last 2 hours that has told me that I am lucky. And I hope I will be okay as well, and everybody is already cheering me up... some of the threads here are really funny.

Morgan: The police already know about it. From what they told me 45 min ago when they can in to question me, the description that people have been giving about the Viper, matches the decription of a getaway car from a robbery that happen 4 blocks away from where I was hit. Sooo...

Charley: I think there was criminal intent.

Most cars are not stolen for getaways, but for spare parts. It's much easier and lucrative to do that.

The WRX OTOH, was not. The original Rex was sellign about 100 per year in Aust before the ram raiders found out how fast in city streets they were. Then the stories of how fast they really were got out, the press got onto the story, and sales went through the roof, to the point where a niche sports car became a volume seller. That was in 94. Your about 7 years behind the WRX legend :p

Subaru even ran an ad - The WRX. Favoured by 9 out of 10 ram raiders. Even today witht eh Gen III powered Commodores, you have to be a loser not to make a clean getaway in a WRX. And there's enough of them around so they dont stand out too much

Ok everybody here is a bit of an update. Apparently this guy that his me has been going all around Canada stealing the fastest cars he can find, then robbing a store/gas station, and the car is found striped 2-3 days later. US/Canada border patrol caught the guy yesterday driving the Viper Ileagly(sp) across the border from BC to Washington. The car was easy to identify thanks to the distinct marking I made on the car with my shoulder and head.

Due to my assistance in his arrest the local Police department as given me $200:)

He will be sent to court in Canada first for all the robberys/Car thefts he did, then again in Canada for Reckless Driving, Then in the States for crossing the border Ileagly.

So Charley Since they caught the guy I won't be asking for you to kill him... unless he is not sent to jail at all.... which I thik is unlikely.

LD: I'm in BC, Canada...

Rognan: You don't need to send anything... I'll be back to normal in a few months.

Daiq: I'm fealing pretty good right now, though all the pain killers I'm on might be helping with that.

I finaly got to see some Pics of how much Damage I did to the Viper. I almost started to cry.... Such a nice car.... The I looked at myself saw how much it did to me... And that made me feal a bit better....Were even...

Before All this I was thinking of buying a Viper.... That's how I was able to ID it. But now I Think I will go for something else.

Thanks everybody for the suport, and wishes, and prayers for good health.

Tell the owner of the viper how much pain his vehicle caused you and the only thing that can compensate for your emotional distress is if he were to give you the viper. Then put the $200 towards the paint touch-ups/replacement mirror.

I'm Sorry that Garen can't bring this update himself. If you don't already know... I'm Garen's girlfriend.

I'm woried sick right now because the stupid doctors are, right now, cutting open Garen's head to fix a problem they didn't notice.

From what I have been told, when Garen got his skull cracked, a small bone fragment cut a small part of his brain, and lodged itself in there. For some reason the cut didn't fully heal and now the doctors are going in to remove the bone fragment, and 4 blood clots from his brain.

they realised that there was a problem when this morning Garen started to see things that were not there and reliving memories that happend years ago, that went on for 5 min then he passed out.

He has been in surgery for almost 5 hours now, and from what his family doctor tells me, his chances are not good. He guesses a 40% chance of living the surgery, and if Garen is lucky enough to get that 40%, he has a 20-25% chance of being a Vegie that drools for a living, a 40-45% chance of being back at the level of a 2-5 year old, and that doesn't leave much room for a full recovery.... I was told " there is a chance that he will recover fully".

We all appreacate the suport that all of you have been giving us in this hard time... But if there is anytime that we nead Prayers and wishes, that time would be now. The odds are not good, and I hope that Garen didn't use up all his luck in living through the accdent.

I don't care what God or Gods/Goddess you beleave in... We nead all of them to help. I'll try to keep people updated. And I hope that someday soon he can be the one telling you how he is doing.

Mitara.

PS.. I'm going to take over Garen's character just so He can leave the threads that he is in now and won't be holding back any of them....

I had a friend that got into a car accident once. His chances were about the same. The doctors said it would probably be at least a year before he would have even been able to walk, and he would never recoup enough to run (he took a really hard shot to the head)

within 3 months, he made a full recovery

A woman I work with had a son in a bad car accident too, last memorial day. He was in a coma, had swelling on the brain, and they actually removed a section of skull to ease the pressure on his brain. His chances were about the same if not worse than Garen's...

He just got his own apartment a few weeks ago and is doing fine. In like 4 months he was doing a zillion times better. Speech is still frustrating for him, but he's the same guy he was before.

I'm worried sick about him.... I can't sleep... I'm not hungry.... I just want him to get better... I've been his friend for 12 years, I've been dating him for 7 years, and I've been living with him for 3 years, and after all this time, I'm SOOOO close to losing him, just because some dimwitt wanted to rob a store...

Fyi... both Garen and myself are about 21 years old. We moved in together at the age of 18. We started dating when we were 14. and we became friends when we were 8. Is that a little clearer than 12,7 and 3?

I will keep praying for Garen, and for some peace for you as well, Mitara. I can tell he means much to you, and I'm sure he will fight to come back to his best possible shape for you because he loves you too.

But, do rest, he will need you to be strong when he wakes up, too. Just your being there when he is awake can make a great difference in his body's ability to heal, and even more to his spirits.

I remember after my car wreck, I was pretty depressed in the hospital by myself, and out of the blue one of my best friends shows up. It was the best medicine I have ever recieved, even if I may not remember much of it because of all the drugs I was on.

So, get some rest so you can be strong for him later.

Sage Hazzard
Jun 9th, 2003, 01:37:45 AM
Okay, let's run over the number of laws this moron broke, atleast according to stateside laws.

Theft of a vehicle(multiple times), armed robbery(multiple times), assualt with a deadly weapon, failure to stop and render aid, wreckless driving, illegal border cross. Then there's probably some unlawful use of a handgun stuff or use of a handgun without a permit.

So, tally all that up, and this guy ain't seeing sunshine for a long time. Maybe you can find some comfort in that thought, until you know for certain how Garen will be. Atleast this bastard is going to pay for what he did. With so much stuff against him, the years will add up. And even if some stupid jury lets him off on one of the charges, he'll be convicted on the others. So he'll rot in jail like he desearves.

Now, suing this guy will pay as well. Garen shouldn't have to pay for these medical bills, he didn't inflict them. And his family, and him and you, shouldn't have to go through this anguish for nothing. I'd award multiple millions if I was deciding. Garen should get more than 200 hundred bucks from this, the SOB should have to sell all his stuff and give him all the money from it.

Okay, I'm kind of deflecting this sorrow of this by burying it in legalities. The truth is, this is terrible. My thoughts and concerns are with Garen. You can find solice that whatever religion you believe in, whatever maker you believe in, will sort this out. That justice will be served and wrong will be made right, down here and up there.

Here are the charges that were anounced at the bail hearing, for this bugger.

10 Counts of Grand Theft, 15 Counts of Armed Robbery, 2 Counts of Atempted Man-slaughter 1st Deg.(Garen and a Cashier), 3 counts Posistion(sp?) of an unlicenced firearm(2 pistols and 1 rifle), and Resisting Arrest.

Bail was not granted due to the accused being a flight risk.

The states have him on charges of illegal border crossing, and assault of an officer.

As for Garen...

They are keeping him sedated for Today and the next two days just to give his brain a better chance of healing... at least that's what I heard from his mother...

J'ktal: I know he will fight back, but I can't help but think about what his chances of winning the fight are... So far he has been lucky... Just how long can that luck last.

One of the first things Garen did when he woke up was smile up at me and ask "wa is ma laptop?"... I could only smile, laugh and say "It's nice to see you too!!"

Reaper: I'm not worried about his troubles talking, I'm have way to many other things to worry about aside from his talking.

Akito: *Laughs again* I hope he gets better soon too.

Ka' el: At least Wait until one of you brakes before you start jumping up and down and pumping your fists. I don't want you to loose you job because your happy for us...

Sorry for not posting often in here, but I have been keeping up to date on what's been happening. I am so glad to hear that Garen's awake. It was a big relief for me to find out that he woke up (doesn't know if he's awake right now or not) and my thoughts and prayers are with both of you Mitara.

Oh, man, I'm so glad to hear he's awake and asking for a computer. That's a sure sign of health around here. :)

I wish I could come up and say hi to you two, even though I don't really know y'all, I still know how much is sucks to be cooped up in a hospital... and I was in a body cast for 6 weeks, so I should know. We're still praying for Garen here in Oregon! Every minute is a blessing.

Kinda makes me feel like Riverdancing!

*Riverdances.*

Mitara: *HUG!* I am so glad for the both of you. I wish you nothing but the best- and I know you're gonna have Garen back to full health in no time! I'd post something funny, but my new computer disagrees with the family modem so I can't yet.

Anyway, take care of him and yourself, and we'll throw a parade of well-wishings when Garen next posts!

If it's not too much, tell him I said "Hi", and I have an idea so that this situation will never happen to him again. Ram Jet Boosters for crossing busy streets. The only problem is how to stop once you get to the other side....... That's why I'm working on a ramp and parachute system........

I told Garen that people say HI.... he says Hi back.... Not much has changed with Garen since Yesterday.... But i have new about the skum that did this.... and I'm not happy with it.

The guy took a plee bargan, and will be testifying aganst all the Chop-Shops that he worked with. I don't know what charges he got but he will be sent to jail for 10 years solitary confinement with chance of probation after 5 years.

He is now being sent to The States for the trail down there, and I do know that the time he gets from the States will be tacked onto the end of the 10 years he gets up here...

I would have rathered the guy to have been skined alive and slowly rund through a meat grinder.... But *shrugs* I guess I would have been unhappy with anything he got.

Somehow I seriously doubt they sentenced him to 10 years of solitary confinement on a plea bargain. That is rather harsh.

Solitary's to protect him Charley, since he's a snitch.

Charley
Jun 12th, 2003, 03:16:03 PM
Considering the psychological effect of solitary confinement upon a prisoner for even a relatively small amount of time such as a week or a month, I don't think that is the case. He'd be dead or insane within six months.

Mitara Sinar
Jun 12th, 2003, 03:16:36 PM
I just talked to Garen's mom(the person that told me this)...I got it wrong...

It's solitary confinement until the trials for the Chop-Shops he is testfing aganst are over. So your not far off Ka' el....

Well my uncles are all Guards and Wardens I have a pretty good idea of at least how the US and Illinois State prison system works and those guys in the Illinois Supermax prison are in solitary lockdown for 23 of the 24 hours a day.

So it wasn't cause of my infinite wisdom. But trust me he'll get his if he's testifying against an organization, they deal out a much harsher justice than any court could. He might be Bubba's wife for a while.

Late reply by me:

Glad to hear you're still alive after that ordeal, Garen! And glad to hear they caught the bastard that made off with you as a side ornament.

Hell, that's just an unbelievable story, and let me be the umpteenth person to let you know how lucky you are and that I'm praying for you for a speedy recovery. Very speedy. :)

As to our RPs, you get to them when you are feeling better or up to it. No rushing in healing. I want you to be 110% better!

Now... say "Yes Master" and go heal! :p

As always, I am super late in discovering threads and posting. But I wanted to send my prayers and well-wishings to you and Garen, Mitara. I hope that he will find a speedy, safe, and full recovery and I hope that you will find some peace in knowing that what you do for him everyday--the way you care and the way you do all you can to be with him and let him know that we are all rooting for him--adds a million more chances for him to recover to 100%.

He's lucky to have someone like you with him. :)

Again, you'll both be in my thoughts and prayers and my heart goes out to you.

Yeah, he'll get taken care of in prison, most likely. They keep their "home" clean, so anyone who's really bad (child molestors, rapists, snitches), are in for it.

At least he got something, considering it's in Canada.

AB: Garen says that he doubts he will ever be 110% but he asked my to pass on that he says "Yas Masta"....

Terran: Thank you for your wishes, no matter how late they are. I tend to think of how lucky I am to have him.... I don't think I deserve such a nice boy.... But I won't turn him away...

Dae: Well I guess it does make me feel better that the guy will most likely be in a living hell, thanks to all the other in-mates. I can just picture this guy getting pounded with food trays when he goes to eat.... Makes me feal MUCH better! :)

Ryla: Life is never smooth going all the time, This is just another lump in a really long road. We will work through this, or we will live with it, ether way we will move on Together.

Garen's speech already has seen noteable improvment since he woke up.... He is now undersandable All the time, though it sounds like a distorted accent of some kind. They had him out of bed today hobbling around his room with my help today, and the road rash is more or less just scabs and scars now. With good conditions, and if the progress of him healing goes at the same rate as it is now, he will be confined to bed at home in about 2-4 weeks :).

(OT: About the earlier post with wardens, a jail officer was recently killed down here with a sledge hammer when three inmates tried to escape. Now everyone is asking, why is one female officer armed only with pepper spray overseeing hundreds of inmates with tools like that. why only 1 officer, and why only pepper spray?)

Hello again....

*sighs with frustration*

Garen is a stuborn, persistant little bugger..... He has been using his sister to send messages to his teachers at BCIT, and is trying to find a way that he can still write the finals for this term of school. Truthfuly I'm trying to get him better, but he just won't follow doctors orders.... Like, no using a computer until the doctor says it's ok, and only get out of bed when there is sombody there to help you.... Stuff like that.... but .... HE IS DRIVING ME INSANE!! Wait.... I'm already insane.... *Shrugs*

He sounds stubborn, sheesh...I think you're gonna have to lay down the law with him. If he won't follow doctors orders, you're going to have to make him. He won't get better if he doesn't rest and not over-exert himself. (at least, I would think :\)

Ok Garen is driving me (and the Doctors) NUTS!!

Sorry it's been a little while since I gave an update.. but Garen is now at home as of 10 min ago.... ONLY because the hospital couldn't keep him there... the last 4 night he some how got out of the hospital and off the grounds , and once he made it home before we caught him and took him back to the hospital... I think what the biggest reason that he was running from the hospital is because the doctor told him that He "could NOT go home till I(doctor) say so".

You never tell Garen He can't do something!!... I have to tend to garen now and take him back to the hospital every day for a check up... SOOO I may be a bit busy....

Well he also has his mind set on being at school on monday to do his first final for the term.... I don't know how to stop him.... aside from cuffing him to the bed, then taping him down with duct tape.

He also hates admitting he needs help...

Lilaena De'Ville
Jun 19th, 2003, 01:48:59 PM

Yay! Glad to hear he's bac home!

being at home will definitely help him heal faster. There's something about being around familiar surroundings and loved ones that really helps to recover from accidents and what have you.

And, on a side note... dangnabit, if only I really WAS AB and really COULD heal, I'd have Garen up and practicing his lightsaber moves in no time flat. :D

I know I wouldn't be able to bring myself to do that to my b/f.

But I would figure out a way to make him behave and listen to doctors orders. Just threaten to keep his laptop from him if he doesn't do what he's supposed to do.
