any clues on how to easily turn the attached image into a Windows Media Player (7) skin, without having to spend weeks and weeks learning code, or (even better, and I will love you forever if you do) anyone willing just to turn this into a skin for me?

the buttons are self explanitory, I hope, and the two bars are volume and track position........

I'm sure you can probably find skinner programs for it somewhere on the net. Just try searching for Windows Media Player Skinner or something like that.

Having tried skinning winamp (2, not 3. ugh), I'd have to say making that skin would probably be very difficult. With winamp you can just write over the old images with new ones, but its hard to co-ordinate them and make them fit the bigger picture. :\

mruh.

so I must now rely on teh charity of fellow 'fans members...

I got Media Player 9 now though, if that makes a difference. All the new skins on that are so pretty...

I'm not too familiar with media player, because its a big stinking turd of a program, that I only use in a last resort.

well, despite being a pos when it comes to anything technical, it plays a bunch of mp3s uncomplainingly - which is all i really need at the minute.

http://classic.winamp.com/ is the correct answer.

If you play MP3s on windows, Winamp 2.91 is the correct answer.

ah. I know i should get winamp of some description, but the last time i tried to install it my computer complained.

I'll just stick to my POS for now, and work on finding a way to make skins.

I'm using that right now, as I haven't installed Winamp yet. Patterns pretty :)

Since I've started using XP I haven't bothered with Winamp, which I used to love but now find no problems with Media Player. I have twelve albums currently on my hard disk and love the organization in Media Player.

Winamp also makes for a pretty nifty movie player.

dun like winamp too much myself, I prefer WMP since it will loop(repeat) what you're listening to which I have yet to figure out with Winamp...besides takes forever to find a good skin, I had to look for 2 hours last night for one.....

Winamp loops. It's got a button on the main interface, and if you're still not sure look at the attachment.
