View Full Version : A new use for binders (Dae and open)

OOC note: this somehow takes place before Dae's place is burned to the ground by mean 'ol Sorsha.

IC:

It had been a while since he’d had a chance to really get out. In fact, the last time had landed him in a holding cell in the state building on Balmorra. Tonight he was not on Balmorra. He’d made the trip a few days ago to Coruscant on business for his uncle. Business being taken care of, he found himself at Dae’s doorstep in the rather shady section of town.

The twenty year old kid swayed on his feet, a handle of vodka firmly in hand. A binder could be found locked over one wrist and through the handle, the other end of the binder just waiting for another wrist. It clanked against the glass of the handle of dangerous liquid.

“Dae!” He called out, somewhat drunkenly. He gave a solid knock – more like a drunken thud on the door and then found himself leaning against it, looking more than slightly disheveled.

He was buzzed – though not completely drunk. A good amount of the vodka was missing from the bottle - but not enough for him to be happy with. He planned to finish it off – with his favorite drinking buddy.

The door opened, and Dae stood there, a slightly puzzled look on her face. The hall was dimly lit, and he could see she was dressed in a pair of short-shorts and a tight black t-shirt. She grinned when she recognized her visitor.

"Hey Sasha," She leaned against the door frame, brushing a stray strand of hair from her face. 'Long time no see, kiddo."

He grinned.

"Yeah, well...." His head dropped slightly, clearly an effect of the alcohol.

He placed a hand on the doorframe, steadying any sort of swaying on his feet.

"Ive been a little busy." He added, violet eyes lighting up as he looked to his good friend.

"Hey...whats that?" He asked, pointing to her empty wrist. It was such an odd question, he was sure she would react as he suspected and lift her wrist juuuust enough....Yes, it was sneaky, but he knew she'd appreciate it later.

Dae Jinn
May 22nd, 2003, 07:26:18 PM
"Wha?"
She looked down at her hand. She had put on a ring today, something she normally did not do. She moved her arm a little towards him and smirked.
"Nothing, just a ring." She could see he was leaning on the doorframe now, swaying a bit before finally steadying himself. She raised an eyebrow. "Alright, what's going on?"

SashaKovalev
May 22nd, 2003, 07:34:01 PM
Yeah, too late. The other binder clamped easily over her wrist. It was now a binder on his wrist, linked through the handle of vodka and the other binder on Dae's wrist.

With a grin meant to be innocent, Sasha looked to her.

"Oh thats where the other binder goes...." He replied, a broad grin spreading over his face.

"I'd been wondering about that all night so far....." He added, though it was barely past eight in the evening.

"I guess whats going on is that we'll have to finish this bottle." He retorted, holding up his wrist, and consequently Dae's, "Cuz the key to these things seems to stuck at the bottom of this bottle..." He added, the tone of his voice carrying mock surprise.

Dae Jinn
May 22nd, 2003, 08:20:27 PM
She laughed and shook her head. "Let's just hope no-one swallows it..."
She turned back into the house, grabbing a set of keys from a stand in the hall before shoving him playfully out the door. Once everything was locked up, she dragged him behind her, pulling him down the stairs. "Where to?"

SashaKovalev
May 23rd, 2003, 11:37:47 AM
He gave her a pointed look, as if to say, hey, I know Im buzzed, but I can handle not swallowing a key. For as small as she was beside him, she yanked him around failry easily, locking her door and then dragging him down her front steps.

“Aw, I don’t know.” He replied, leaning down a bit and lifting the bottle to his lips to take another swig. He grimaced only slightly, wrinkling his nose a bit before he turned his violet eyes on her.

“Come on slacker, Ive been holding up your end of this for the past few hours. You’ve got some catching up to do.” He teased.

Dae Jinn
May 23rd, 2003, 12:55:01 PM
She rolled her eyes and smirked. She took the bottle from him, put it to her lips and took a long drink, draining a good amount of the bottle before handing it back to him with a grin. She knew the alcohol wouldn't have that much effect on her, it rarely did unless she drank huge amounts of it. One little bottle was nothing, and if Sasha was planning on getting sloshed tonight, they would need to find a bar.
"Well," She slipped her bindered arm around his, her head almost resting on his shoulder. "Let's find a nice seedy bar and start some trouble."

SashaKovalev
May 23rd, 2003, 01:25:54 PM
He shook his head and grinned as she downed a good amount. He had to give the lady credit – she could certainly best him when it came to drinking. But he’d try to keep up. Until he passed out cold and she had to drag his butt back.

“Trouble, huh? What, Im not enough entertainment for you?” He asked, feigning amazement and adding in a mock hurt expression for good measure.

He gave a relaxed and rather content sigh as she leaned her had against his shoulder, and then they began to walk through the neighborhood, pausing every now and then for another unhealthy and trouble filled swig of alcohol.

“So what were you up to before I came to save you from boredom?” He asked. It sounded arrogant, maybe, but anyone who knew him well knew he wasn’t exactly an arrogant kind of kid.

Dae Jinn
May 25th, 2003, 07:52:00 PM
"The usual."

She took the bottle and had another healthly swig from it. She hadn't been doing much when he had shown up on her door-step. Lounging around, reading, thinking. Nothing at all exciting. The other Lost Jedi were off doing things...what kind of things she was not aware of. She was glad to see Sasha, and even more happy he had decided to "kidnap" her for a night of fun.

"How have you been? How's your girl doing?" She smiled up at him as they continued on down the darkening street.

He shrugged, the slight movement affecting Dae a bit as she was connected to his wrist which was connected to his arm which was connected to his shoulders.

“I’ve been alright.” He answered, lifting the bottle to his lips to take a swig before he offered more of an explanation.

“Im staying with my uncle for a while on Balmorra and Im taking a few classes at the university.”

He saw the look she gave him and grinned.

“Its flight school, for the most part, but Im trying to minor in history.” He added, admitting just a bit that he did actually rather like studying.

“And Fel…..” He released a soft sigh, as if to say he didn’t really feel like talkig about it. It wasn’t that things weren’t going well, it was just that he hadnt seen her in quite some time, and the last message from her had explained that she was bogged down with a project at the moment and that it would probably be a while before she could meet up again.

He tried not to take it personally, but a part of him couldn’t help it. And more and more he resented the group she’d gone off to join.
“Things are fine.” He answered, the tone of his voice somewhat closing the door on further questions.

“What about you?” He asked.

“Whats up with your jedi?”

Dae Jinn
May 28th, 2003, 01:11:20 PM
"He's fine."
Her lips turned down into the beginings of a frown, but she forced a smile. Jeran had been gone for two weeks and a day; Dae wasn't sure where he went. He prefered to hunt alone and she hadn't figured a way to follow him without his knowing. Yet. "We're doing alright, he's pretty busy. His..work keeps him away sometimes."
She gave a bit of a shrug and sighed. "Not much has been going on, just your average everyday things."

SashaKovalev
May 29th, 2003, 08:52:07 AM
Her response hadnt seemed all that off from his own and the observant dark jedi picked up on this. But he kept it to himself. Tonight there would be no further mention of Jeran or Feliciana. Tonight was simply about two friends reconnecting and having a good time.

“Well, lets see what we can do about changing the everyday normal thing….” He said in reply, a broad grin on his face.

“But one rule…..” He began, raising the bottle and taking another swig. By now he swayed somewhat unsteadily on his feet every now and then, a fairly good sign that he was – and had been – intoxicated for a while now.
“No causing trouble….” He finished with an impish grin. This would be impossible to avoid, and they both well knew it.

“Do you think you’ll always live here?” He asked her, giving a good look around at the neighborhood.

Dae Jinn
May 29th, 2003, 11:19:26 AM
She laughed out loud, putting a hand over her mouth and snickering as they got some odd looks from passersby. She took the bottle from him and downed another swig before taking him by the arm again.
"Me? Cause trouble? Never! I'm a perfect little angel."
She grinned and shrugged at his question. "I have another home on a different planet -- it's not as modern as Coruscant, but it's nice. It's like my...cottage. My little get-away place that no-ones knows about. But, I love the city. It's loads of fun."

SashaKovalev
May 29th, 2003, 05:48:11 PM
He nodded.

"I know what you mean...." He replied.

"When I first came to this city I hated it. It just seemed too busy, too dirty...." Sasha gave a small shrug.

"Now I sorta look forward to coming..." He grinned.

"Afterall, I've got a second home here." He added, referring to her place where he had crashed more than once after a long night out on the town.

"So where are you taking me?" He asked, as she seemed to be leading the way.

Dae Jinn
May 29th, 2003, 07:07:58 PM
"You'll see," she gave his arm a squeeze and turned quickly down an alleyway. It grew darker as they went, dodging trash cans and the legs of vagrants.
Eventually they came to a door. A yellow door which stood out against the black of the buildings. Dae gave a loud knock and turned to Sasha.
"Now, we wait. Shouldn't take too long."

SashaKovalev
May 29th, 2003, 07:19:57 PM
He raised an eyebrow. He'd been to seedy places before, but this one...well..it ran a close race for first place in the trashiest place he'd visited.

But he didnt seem to mind. The holes in the wall were usually some of the best places around.

"Do you come here all the time or something?" He asked, wondering about this strange yellow door and the particular loud knock.

Dae Jinn
Jun 3rd, 2003, 03:36:40 PM
"Yeah, this is the "members-only' entrance," Dae laughed, and the door swung open. A tall burly alien snorted and muttered at them before returning to his stool.

They made their way down a small dark hallway, through another door and into a large crowd of people. Loud music was blaring from speakers coming out of the walls, lights flashed multicolors across the mass of people all moving to the same thumping beat.

Dae pressed her way through the crowd, coming out the side to a small bar area. Few people were mingling around, holding their drinks and nodding their heads in sync with each other. She hopped up on the bar, pulling Sasha close and wrapping her arms around his neck. Using the Force, she spoke directly into his mind. "Well, what do you think? Should we spoil thier party?"

Wargrave
Jun 3rd, 2003, 06:08:54 PM
Wargrave was out hunting.

Something fairly easy to do on Coruscant, if you knew the right people. And Wargrave knew a few people who had their ears everywhere.

Currently he was perched atop a low-rise building staring down at a family member: Sasha Kovalev. It wasn't the name given him...but like most people in his family, he wore masks. And this was one of them.

He watched as Sasha and the dark-haired woman, walked into the club. Although he'd never met the woman, he could tell she wasn't the one Sasha had spoken of before...the 'Feliciano' woman...no she was different...more aloof. And she had something else on her...a certain sense that she'd been around someone quite familiar with him.

Wargrave leaped from the roof, landing in the alley by the entrance. The bouncer was a Drovian, it's three fingered clawed hands *clacking* in the darkness. Two hundred credits placated the alien and the Dark Jedi was let in.

As his eyes adjusted to the darkness, Wargrave gazed around the loud club. This wasn't the music he was used to...nor was it always the setting.

He stood off in a corner (far enough not to be seem completely), his eyes directly on the duo of Sasha and Dae, crossed his arms and waited.

SashaKovalev
Jun 4th, 2003, 08:28:42 AM
As Dae pressed her way through the crowd, Sasha was pulled along with her. They were, afterall, locked to each other by binders. He gave a semi apologetic look to those he bumped against in the process, giving a slight shift of his violet eyes towards Dae and the binders, as if to say, sorry, pal, Im just following the lady.

And who, really, would give Dae a hard time?

Sasha didn’t mind the loud music or even tonight, the crowd. It was exactly the sort of thing he’d had in mind when he’d stumbled onto Dae’s doorstep.

As they passed through into a bit more open area, Dae hopping up on the bar and wrapping her arms around his neck, he relaxed against the bar into her embrace.

Well, what do you think? Should we spoil thier party?

He heard her question in his mind, the way he tilted his head towards her indicating that he’d heard her. He raised the bottle to take another drink, a longer swig this time that burned. He’d actually put the credits into getting a good bottle, but he was more of a beer drinker, and the affinity for vodka straight up was one acquired over time.

He did not see, nor did he feel the presence of his master in the club. The mixture of so many bodies in one location, the loud music, his level of intoxication, and the fact that he was so relaxed contributing to his lack of awareness.

“I thought we agreed on no trouble…..” He responded, speaking up over the noise, rather than using the force to speak as she had. His master had taught him to use the force as a tool, not as a crutch, and so he made a conscious effort to rely upon it as little as possible. And though it would have mattered little here, it was simply a good habit he was trying to form. He had so many bad ones he had to get rid of, that this was at least a start. One on which he had a conscious and comfortable grasp.

Dae Jinn
Jun 4th, 2003, 08:30:44 PM
"Oh, come on, that's no fun!" She spoke over the noise, resting her chin on his shoulder. Her lips gazed his ear and he could feel her soft steady breath on his cheek. Her finger ran down his chest, hands tapping to the beat gently.

"Well, if we're not going to cause trouble, you can at least ask me to dance."

SashaKovalev
Jun 5th, 2003, 08:01:01 AM
He rather liked the attention he was getting from Dae. Not that he forgot about Fel by any means, or that he or Dae had any intentions of faltering on vows made to the ones they loved, but it felt good to have someone pay so much attention. Her breath on his cheek had made him turn his face towards her the slightest bit, a natural reaction to such a gesture. Dae knew her strengths, and she used them well.

Well, if we're not going to cause trouble, you can at least ask me to dance

Why was it that women always wanted to dance? Was it something they were injected with upon birth? Some odd sort of hormone that made dancing irresistible? He rolled his eyes.

“Aw, Dae….” He’d been about to protest that he didn’t dance, like most normal human males would have done, but she gave him no choice. Wrists tethered by binders made it impossible to resist as she hopped down from where she’d been perched on the bar and dragged him into the mob of pulsating bodies.

He made her pause only long enough to take a good long swig. He wasn’t dancing sober, that was for sure. And then he offered her a grin.

“Would you like to dance?” He finally offered, giving her no choice now as the mob around them forced them to move to the music.

Dae Jinn
Jun 5th, 2003, 04:14:42 PM
"Yes." She stuck out her playfully at him before giving the binders a gentle tug and pulling him closer. "What? You don't like dancing?"

She started moving with the crowd, letting her body just barely touch him as she danced in front of him.

Wargrave
Jun 7th, 2003, 02:16:35 AM
A woman asked him to dance.

He gave her a stare, doing his best to politly decline, his accented Basic giving him away as a foreigner. In his mind he was still taken, therefore he wouldn't dance with someone else.

But he thanked her anyway.

Wargrave crossed his arms, as people danced around him, still staring at Sasha and Dae as they moved to the music. Or...atleast Dae did. Sasha appeared to not like dancing.

A small smile came to his face and the man kept watching.

SashaKovalev
Jun 9th, 2003, 02:15:45 PM
Was it perhaps a shy grin on his face as he looked away for a brief moment. His gaze had gone towards where Wargrave stood watching them, but it hadnt registered as he turned back to Dae.

Something oddly made him turn his head again, giving a quick second look. A flash of concern flashed over his features and was gone. On the second look he’d seen nothing familiar and there was nothing from the force to indicate anything out of the ordinary.

He turned back to Dae again, violet eyes gazing down at her and the way she moved in front of him, just barely touching him.

“I like watching you dance….” He replied in answer to his question about liking or not liking dancing.

He made some effort to at least move a little bit to the beat.

“Why do women like trying to get guys to dance anyway?” He asked.

He nodded toward a man near them who seemed to be dancing to his own song heard by him and him alone.

"We just end up looking stupid..." He added with a grin.

Dae Jinn
Jun 9th, 2003, 05:14:26 PM
"Not all men look stupid. And you know what they say about guys who can dance..." She giggled, twirling around and dancing with her back to him. She barely noticed him looking over the crowd at someone, twice. Maybe it was someone he knew, or thought he knew. Dae shrugged it off and continued to move to the music, occassionally taking swigs from the bottle that hung between them.

SashaKovalev
Jun 10th, 2003, 06:43:07 AM
Yes, he did know what they said about guys who could dance. And it was somewhat couth and entiely something a fraternity boy would say - and most definitely not at all what Dae had been suggesting. And he had enough sense to keep this comment to himself.

He continued to watch her as she danced, her back to him now. It was like this for a bit of the song, Sasha taking an occasional drink and somewhat moving to the music. But for the most part, he stood as a protector over Dae, though she needed nothing of the sort.

All was well until they were both shoved from behind by a couple that had been dancing a bit drunkenly and slipped on a spilled drink on the floor and fallen into them. They fell into Sasha, who, not expecting this, bumped into Dae. He caught her in his arms as they stumbled together into the mass of bodies near them.

Wargrave
Jun 10th, 2003, 12:20:54 PM
He started walking forward.

Sasha had had enough fun for one night, as far as he was concerned. The man almost rushed forward when he saw him fall.

But instead he held up and waited for Sasha to arise.

Dae Jinn
Jun 10th, 2003, 12:34:02 PM
"Gah!" Suddenly Sasha's arms were around her and they were tumbling head first into the crowd. Dae planted her feet, stopping them from falling over completely. She turned to him with a scowl, placing her hands on his shoulders.

"Are you alright?"
She didn't wait for his answer, moving away from him and towards the drunken couple. One angry push from Dae sent the man back to the floor, where his face was meet with a spiked heel. "Watch what the frell you're doing.....!"

Dae's voice rose, as the man's equally drunk girlfriend grabbed her by the hair and started to pull her backwards.

SashaKovalev
Jun 10th, 2003, 01:15:34 PM
He’d been about to tell her that yeah, he was fine, but she’d instead spun away, yanking him with her through the binders towards the drunken couple. His temper likely would have matched hers, only she’d acted before he’d really had much of a chance.

The man on the floor was howling in pain, stumbling almost blindly to his feet while his girlfriend attacked Dae, yanking on her hair and pulling her back. This, of course, affected the one tethered to her. Sasha. And he was rather intoxicated.

Cursing, he took in what at any other time might have been a semi amusing sight. Only at the moment, it wasn’t. He did not draw his blaster or his saber, despite the fact that he was in a drunken enough state to do something that foolish. It would have given him too much credit to say that he had enough good sense not to provoke anything any further if at all possible. Rather it was that his reflexes were a bit slowed, having had a bit too much to drink.

And distracted by this sight, he did not see that the wounded boyfriend had risen to his feet, his fist cocked to slug Sasha. Turning to the tap on his shoulder, the young dark jedi was nailed a pretty good one. A tooth definitely floated loose and he spit it out with the blood that had collected there.

And this angered him enough to retaliate. Only, one fist wasn’t exactly free to fight or defend, as it was pulled in the opposite direction by Dae, who was dealing with the hair puller.

His first instinct, out of drunkenness and a primal sort of anger was to swing back, and this he did with his free hand, but one fist ultimately would be no match for the two free ones. And it would have to be the force, or some other intervening act that would break it up.

Wargrave
Jun 10th, 2003, 01:21:12 PM
The drunken boyfriend found himself removed from the situation by two men. One security, one...not.

Wargrave simply shook his head at the drunk one, as the large Drovian shoved him away from the area. The boyfriend would be dealt with in another fashion.

Wargrave then gripped Sasha's arm and pulled him away from Dae.

Before the latter could punch Wargrave, he hissed, "You have other places to be, little one. Don't forget it."

Then he released the grip and was swallowed up by the crowd...his eyes always on Sasha.

Dae Jinn
Jun 10th, 2003, 01:32:58 PM
The binder pulled taunt, dragging Dae away from the girlfriend. She turned, the girlfriend deciding to follow her lover back into the crowd. She gave Sasha a "wtf" look as some stranger yanked him away from her.

SashaKovalev
Jun 10th, 2003, 01:45:25 PM
This was not how he had envisioned this evening. He licked the blood from his lip, raising a hand to brush away the rest. Instinctively, his tongue found the spot where his tooth was missing as he was pulled away by security and then…..

Wargrave.

His face paled instantly, even a drunken haze not being quite enough sweet oblivion to make this fact any less humiliating.

You have other places to be, little one. Don't forget it.

The gaze of his violet eyes dropped instantly to the floor in humiliation, the way a child would at being chastized. And in that moment, Wargrave disappeared. When he lifted them again, he saw nothing of the vision, though he knew it had been real. He could still feel the iron grip that had pulled on his arm.

He wavered slightly on his feet and his bloodied hand pressed to his forehead. He felt a bit dizzy. Perhaps from being socked in the jaw, perhaps from being a bit too drunk. Likely a combination of both. That and the fact that Wargrave had clearly been watching him, and it was clear from the tone of voice, from the glint in his eyes that he had not been pleased.

In anger, he tugged on the arm with the binders, lifting it and swinging it against one of the columns of the room that they stood by. The bottle shattered, te remaining vodka and the key falling somewhere onto the dirty floor.

This got Dae’s attention, and the security guards as well, who began to usher the two of them towards the door.

“Dae, I’ve gotta go…” Sasha told her over the noise of the crowd as they were shoved along towards the door.

Dae Jinn
Jun 10th, 2003, 02:00:30 PM
"What?? What the frell is going on? Who was that guy back there?"
She shouted across to him, struggling with the bouncer who was partically pushing her out the door. They were shoved hard out the door, the bouncer muttering some curses in an alien tongue at them before it slammed and locked behind them.

Dae gave Sasha a hard shove, grabbing him by the shirt and holding him steady. "Tell me what's going on. Now."

SashaKovalev
Jun 10th, 2003, 02:35:49 PM
He bristled slightly at Dae shoving him, and her rather tight grip on his shirt. He looked like he’d been through hell with what was becoming a fat lip, the blood smeared over his hands and face, and the glazed drunken look in his eyes. And he could still taste blood from his missing tooth and his tongue passed over his lip, feeling the swelling. Violet eyes narrowed as he swayed unsteadily on his feet.

“I don’t know who he was.” He lied. Flat, outright, lied. But
Sasha wasn’t exactly the best of liars, those eyes of his giving way as he glanced away, guilt at lying deep within them.

He didn’t really want to get into it all, and besides, he wasn’t exactly sure Wargrave would still call him his apprentice after what he’d likely witnessed.

And it was partly the truth - he wasnt sure exactly what was going on. He just knew he was supposed to be somewhere else. Wargrave had made that very clear. And he knew that he had a feeling he was in a bit of trouble when Wargrave got ahold of him. If Dae didnt finish him off first.

Dae Jinn
Jun 11th, 2003, 06:48:33 PM
She sighed and shook her head. "'You're not going anywhere untill we get you home and cleaned up."

Dae loosened the grip on his shirt, slipping an arm around him and helping him out of the alleyway. She knew he had lied, but didn't bring it up. He was pretty messed up, bleeding and stumbling from the alcohol. Dae wouldn't leave him in the lurch, guiding him through the garbage that lined the thin strip of pavement they were walking on.

SashaKovalev
Jun 11th, 2003, 07:01:01 PM
He wished he still had the bottle of vodka. A good slug of it would maybe have made him forget the fact that Wargrave had been there. And the fact that his mouth hurt. It had been a while since he'd been punched in the face. Had he been sober, he might have felt a bit sheepish about it. Certainly, as he wandered about for the next few days with a fat lip, he would. But for now, intoxication gave him freedom from that feeling.

He relaxed as she slipped her arm around him and sighed somewhat contentendly for the shape he was in.

"I thought we agreed on no trouble tonight...." He commented, an impish grin creeping over his face.

Dae Jinn
Jun 11th, 2003, 07:57:25 PM
She gave him a smirk back. "I'm not the one who got bumped into. We didn't get into too much trouble..."

Dae's turn to lie. Her scalp ached slightly from where the other woman had yanked her hair, pulling some of it out. A slight bruise was forming under her eye, but it wasn't anything too serious. Sasha on the other hand...was a mess. She frowned.

"Sorry you got hurt..."

SashaKovalev
Jun 12th, 2003, 10:27:49 AM
He shrugged, somewhat blowing off the idea that he had been injured in any way. absently, his tongue found the empty hole where his tooth had been and he frowned momentarily.

"I wasnt insinuating that you were the cause of anything..." He replied, taking her apology to mean that she thought he'd been blaming her rather than teasing her for the troulbe they'd gotten into.

His words were slightly slurred, but it wasnt his speech that displayed his intoxicated state. It was more the glazed expression in his eyes - dulling what was normally a bright, alive look.

It looked worse than it was, really, because of the blood. Blood that was no longer dripping, but rather drying and crusting on his fist, face and lip.

"Im so used to seeing skilled women fight that I'd forgotten about hair pulling..." He teased.

"I cant believe you let her get away with it..." He added, draping his arm over her shoulder as they walked. These words were joking, trying to get a rise out of her as they walked down the street, their path anything but a straight line.

Dae Jinn
Jun 12th, 2003, 06:49:00 PM
"Get away with it! Whatever! At least my face isn't busted up," She stuck her tongue out, giving him a wet raspberry in the face. "If we didn't have the binders on, it would have been more fun."

"And besides, skills have no use in a cat-fight. Sometimes you have to fight dirty."

SashaKovalev
Jun 13th, 2003, 06:28:28 AM
His nose wrinkled as he laughed and pulled away, as much as the binders would let him, wiping the wetness from the raspberry off his cheek.

Though it could have been done all along, without the key, neither had bothered. Now, at this point, through the force, the binders fell open and slipped from both their wrists to the ground, clinking against the cement of the sidewalk.

Sasha rubbed his wrist absently and then his arm fell gain over Dae's shoulder as they continued walking back to her place.

"He did catch me by surprise...." Sasha admitted, referring to the one who had punched him.

His hand raised, forming a fist and he examined the blood upon it.

"Does it really look that bad?" He asked.

Dae Jinn
Jun 13th, 2003, 10:38:33 PM
"It's probably just the blood, makes it look worse than it is. Once you're cleaned up, we'll see how bad it is," Dae rubbed her wrist than slipped her arm around his waist, her head on his shoulder once more. "I've seen worse."

SashaKovalev
Jun 16th, 2003, 05:47:55 PM
Sasha chuckled.

"Well thats good to know..." He replied, walking along in easy silence with his friend.

"Cuz if I was the worst of all you've seen, Id be pretty worried...." He replied, knowing Dae had seen her share of blood and guts.

"Hey....Im sorry Ive gotta take off early..." He added a moment later.

"You gonna be ok on your own tonight?" He asked, knowing that earlier, she'd seemed a bit upset at the mention of her jedi lover.

Her face fell, her smile drooping into a slight frown before returning moments later. "I'll be fine. It won't be my first night home alone, and it probably won't be my last."

They walked silently for awhile, Dae staring off down the street. Finally she glanced back up at him and grinned. "Well, tonight was fun. Next time, we'll have to see about getting you a later curfew."

He chuckled at her last comment.

“Yeah, I know.” He replied, kicking at a rock in the street as they walked.

“Next time, I promise, I’ll take care of that ahead of time.” He added. He looked a bit tired, perhaps the affects of the alcohol in his system.

“Look, I can stay a while if you want.” He offered, only the slightest bit of hesitation in his voice. He wasn’t sure how she would take his offer.

“You know, until you fall asleep or something.” He added with a slight shrug of his shoulders. He’d heard the sadness in her voice moments before, and he knew exactly that feeling. He’d had it plenty of times before in Fel’s absence.

"I don't want you to get in trouble." She said quietly. Even though she had a sneaking supsicion she already had, part of her wanted him to stay. She wouldn't admit that she was lonely, that she missed Jeran -- what good would that do? She knew how he was, and that she couldn't really change him. And after what happened to Tevit, she wasn't sure if having Sasha stay at her house was such a good idea. Her grin slipped into a smirk.

"I wouldn't want Jeran to come home and find a handsome guy sleeping there, even if we're just friends. He can be pretty jealous at times. Maybe... did you wanna stay for coffee or something?"

He nodded. He wasn’t ready to be own his own just yet. Too many thoughts floating about his head.

“Yeah, coffee would be great.” He replied with a slow nod.

He cast a glance down the street. It was quiet this time of night and there were few who saw them pass through the alleys on their way back to Dae’s.

“I don’t think you could get me in any more trouble than Im already in.” He replied, his thoughts momentarily on the expression that had been on Wargrave’s face. And worse, the tone of voice.

He grinned lopsidedly.

“Scratch that. You could, but I’ve done a fine enough job on my own.” He added teasingly.

“You going to let me come visit ever again?”
