a prayer for Korben

it's a simple request.

my ferret, korben, is not good. i think he's dying. he's bleeding sporadicall from his rectum. i've been to two vets in as many days, and neither know what the matter is. he's weak, his hind legs are sluggish, and he's very lethargic. it could be a combination of things, in my opinion. he could have eaten some of his litter, he could be simply discharging blood from the catheter (though i don't know if that true at all), or he could be in some sort of shock from watching finger die.

yeah, i had two ferrets. on tuesday morning at least. when i came home tuesday night, i found finger dead. he'd broken his neck jumping from one of the platforms in his cage. korben was curled up right next to him, almost comatose.

needless to say the last two-three days have not been kind to me. so if anyone has gripes about having bad days, i'd gladly trade places with them. i've kept up posting as a way to forget about the possibilties of losing my last pet, even if only for a little bit.

but now, all i ask now is that you pray for the one remaining baby i have left.

that's all i can do.

I just saw one of the cats which sort of adopted me roadkilled about a hundred yards from my house....

but ferrets are resilient little things... he'll be aright.

a lttle update; korben is better; he's anemic though, and hit pretty hard by finger dying. he should be fine though, and my mom said that the bleeding was due to having a catheter tube shoved up his bum. poor guy. it's stopped now though, and he's asleep in my lap at the moment. he's getting stronger in the back end, and was moving around a bit earlier.

the vet said we did everything we could. i'm going to have him cremated. thanks for the support guys.
