I do like the redesign, but, these planets in the message boxes are starting to drive me nuts.

I haven't tried reading a long post with the planets yet, but I do like them over the stars for one reason: With the little stars, all of my lower case letters started looking like R's and J's, because the little light dots looked like they were attached to the words.

...but I can see how the planets would drive people nuts.

Oh, especially Yu Gi Oh...Pokemon enjoyed its 15 (well, 150) minutes of fame, but it still sells like hell.

Digimon sorta went:

1st Season: Excellent

2nd Season: Good

Movie: Bad->Excellent, it was hard to tell

3rd Season: SUCKED!

4th Season: Mediocre

5th Season: Excellent

So, it took a really bad fall and is slowly coming back...they rehired some of the old voice actors, got a new storyboard team, and got animators from some now-defunct excellent Japanese Animes.

I share Vega's sentiments. I was sort of in love with the traditional GJO look, probably because it felt very homely and comfortable. This new style looks top notch and all involved in the production process bitsy-witsy have done a bang!bang!-up job. Well done you people.

This just looks more professional. No offense, but the last style seemed like we were a RPing group... well, you shouldn't take offense to that anyway. But now it just seems so professionally done. It's like an official site's mb would need to be. Really seems like seasoned veterans were payed loads of money to overhaul the site and it took 6 months. Probably not far off, but without the money. ;)

Excellent, excellent, excellent job. The color scheme most of all is amazing. It could have no graphics and I'd be happy. They just come together, and blend together. I'd swear most of the type is high grade images, instead of simple text links, because it looks so well together. :)

I'll be the first to say that what I came up with was a step up from what we had before on EZBoard GJO, and I was very constrained by my meduim, aka EZ-ily-crapBoard. I hate(d) it even more after doing that layout, trying to make it behave a certain way after litterally over 10 hours of fighting that piece of trash.

This was pretty easy. HTML-ize it, fix the colors, insert the headers, edit the image links. Ogre did a lot of color and link fixing since he is more familiar with it than I.

It was time for a change, and I'll probably make another style pretty soon, although for SWF and not GJO. GJO will get more indivdual forum wrinkles over the coming weeks.

Great job dude. I'll be honest, I like Coruscant Nights but it's not mind blowing. This is awesome. It just oozes profesionalism. I hope your next style for the main board looks half as good as this. :) I think it's the simplicity of it, along with the color scheme. It has just enough of everything.

Coruscant Nights simply rocks but i only use it for one of my chars cecause i try to stick with the theme of my chars. I mostly use EP2 Dark
