Looks good so far, so who is going to be the villain?

Can't tell too much from that picture, but anything is better than Dolph Lundgren.

The Punisher, eh? Guy looks like a pansy to me.

I have to Agree with daisy.

If they would have done Punisher with Dolph Post He-man and spend a little more money on the script it would have been great, although I do like it.

If they had given Dolph acting lessons, maybe ;)

Jedi Master Carr

LOL it would have taken a lot of acting lessons, Reaper :p

JMK

And a brain change. :p

I find that ironic, since Mr Lundgren is EXTREMELY intelligent.

JMK
Apr 29th, 2003, 09:38:52 PM
And that intelligence is greatly reflected in the roles he has undertaken. :rolleyes

Jedi Master Carr

He doesn't seem intelligent from the film he has been in could be that he is just that bad of an actor.

Much better quality picture here: http://www.users.muohio.edu/kumarsm/law/punisher.jpg

Personally, I think it looks horrible.

JMK

I think he looks alright, but the t-shirt looks like he bought it at Wal-Mart.

'Least they HAVE the skull logo in it. Lundgren's Punisher (which I kinda enjoyed watching- of course I was 13) didn't have the skull in it.

*sigh*

'Least it's in it this time.

Betcha they get it all wrong. Like, if that a t-shirt they have already screwed up the fact it's supposed to be bodyarmour.

Remember this is only for the teaser, they dont even have a cast yet :)

They need hair dye, IMO.

It looks ... :\

Okay, now, nobody kill me for saying this, but, if Segal could cut his hair, and lose that horrible rhaspy accent of his, he could make a decent Punisher.

Though, if they can refrain from giving him too much dialouge, Kurt Russel would be my choice for the role. After all, he was great in Soldier, and he hardly had to speak.

**looks at new posted image**

Waaait a minute, is that a nylon jacket I see? HA! It's a windbreaker! Come on, Frank Castle is supposed to wear a KEVLAR trenchcoat, and it's supposed to be brown. It doesn't match with his costume, that's the whole point. When it's black, it's a shorter leather jacket.

This guy completely does not fit the role whatsoever, and that skull is not nearly as graphic-designy as it needs to be, and the teeth don't go down past the paunch of his stomach to the beltline. That is another Punisher must. The teeth must go past the beltline. This fellow isn't buff enough, not Italian enough, and just plain looks stoned and disinterested in being who he is. And he has entirely too much lighting in that secret underground complex of his, too.

But remember, Spiderman should have mechanical Webshooters, Green Goblin should be in a costume, Bullseye should be in spandex, the X-Men should be in Spandex, Wolverine should be in bright yellow.....You have to make allowances.

Also, I heard a few months back that the new Punisher logo for the movie was being made to coincide with the new comic one. So it could be that by the time this is released, he is wearing an accurate shirt.

Oh, and the light in the complex could be related to the teaser. Maybe it's VERY dark until he flips a switch? We'll have to see.

I fully expect them to dye his hair once filming actually starts.

I was told making the picture darker improves it. Having tried it, I have to agree

But, but.... he's got a nylon windbreaker on!

That's just wrong on so many levels!

He turned down a full scholarship at MIT to become an actor. You don't find those in cracker jack boxes.

Hang on, he turned it down to do HIS acting? Now I really CAN question his intellegence! ;) :lol

Wisdom, yes.

Intelligence, no.

Glad Lizard is here to keep everyone in line :)

The only bad thing I can say about Dolph is his taste in woman :x

ReaperFett

And his movies ;)

The guy they've cast looks like a bit of a pansy and the costume looks horrible. That's the only two things you can really judge from the picture and they both look bad, IMO.

Still, it has time. The Hulk is slowly growing on me. I may yet go see it.

Well, he looks how he always does, and he did say he was bulking up a few weeks back. So maybe he will get bigger?
