Yes, it's that time again for all Jedi to come together and put down their nominations for those Jedi they feel would do a good job on the Council and uphold the Jedi rules.
Here are the rules for making nominations:
1) A nominee must have contributed in some postive manner here at GJO and been the ranks of Knight for at least three months, or Master. (NOTE: If the staff believe that someone nominated does not meet with critera 1), they will be ruled ineligible. Thence, if you nominate for some one whom has not posted for three months and for argument's sake that person just happens to come back and accept, the nomination will be overruled.)
2) You may choose up to 8 nominees in your post. It is, however, recommended to choose just 1 nominee to avoid confusion (but if you still wanna choose 8, go for it.).
3) Nominees must accept or decline if they are nominated. All accepted nominations go on the list for the election.
4) You may only nominate ONE character that a person plays (i.e. Jubei and Anbira are played by the same person. If both were nominated, he'd only be able to accept with one, and one only).
4) There will be 1 weeks time, starting 4/27/03, for nominations (it will be extended to 2 weeks if felt that the extra time is needed).
Here are a few changes that need to be addressed (this is just a "heads up" and won't need to be taken into effect until actual voting time):
- The permenant seat in the Council has been disolved. It was decided it be best to place the permenant seat as a regular. So, now, instead of voting for 7, the voting will be for 8 Jedi on the nomination list.
- Voting will now take place every 4 months (as opposed to 3 months) on January, May, September.
