Finally, someone writes an artice about Furries that encompases the entire spectrum of the fandom, not just the nasty part.

That article sums up jsut about what I feel. I'm not a true "furry" but I happen to draw and like furry art. And, when I get my site, it will proudly wear the "Kid Friendly" label, except for a few images which will be kept seperate because of violence I don't think eight-year-olds should see.

Charley, guys, with all seriousness now. I can take jokes, I really can. And I've been a good sport for quite some time, even joking about furries myself.

But right now I'm going to tell you all flat out that all my art has been, and will continue to be, viewable by kids without being objectionable. With the exception of violence.

My main gripe with this comic is the overuse of the same frame. I mean, in half of them, the same frame was repeated either two or three times, and the text was crammed into word bubbles that seemed to dominate the strip. There is literally too much dialouge in most of them, and if the lines could be cut down, and more effort put into the art, it would be amusing. But, from a technical standpoint, I don't like it.

Same reason I hate most anime: to many freaking still-frames with mouths moving.

I'll download the video tomorrow but just to give my two cents on online comics in general; I don't find them funny at all and are nil on the humour factor. I just don't see what's so funny at all despite many vain attempts to convert. Oh well. :\

But at least you like sinfest. Honestly, I find most newsprint comics to be terrible crap compared to most of the stuff online, but its sanitized and watered down.

I am not being racist or anything like that but I do have a tendency to dislike American humour, or at least what I would put into the bracket of American humour, can't say I'm an expert by choice. Those comics I would throw into that group (here is where I find out it was made by a Brit!) and I just think they are terribly unfunny. If I usually find something genuinly funny or hilarious, it will recieve a LMAO or ROTFLMAO. If you want great comedy, Faulty Towers is still probably the best of all. This is pretty close to the truth. I have a general distaste for slapstick type comedy, so I tend not find comedy movies in the states very funny. There are some very good comedians, though.

For comedies, I tend to much prefer Brit humor. Absurdity will always get me to laugh. Douglas Adams is a testament to that.

I would say British comedy is based a lot on innuendo too. From what I've seen, there are a lot more double-entendres in British shows than American, and I get the impression from the press that the US views us as having a very wild, out there and uncensored comedy scene.

I love british comedy....my friends just look at me and think I'm insane, but personally my humor comes from the absurd, innuendo, and the sarcastic, so I just enjoy that a whole lot more. :)

Truth. Cleese can put more humour into a raised eyebrow that half the so called comics runing aroud Hollywood could do in an entire movie.

Brit comedy comes in waves, with one group tending to stand tall in each wacve. In the 50's it was the Goons - if you have not heard of them, DOWNLOAD NOW. This is absurdist humour at it's best with Spike Milligan, Harry Seacombe and Peter Sellars at their best. The 60's ended with Monty Python. The 80's had things like The Young Ones, then the 90's you had Rowan Atkinson.

thinking of Atkinson, His best was Black Adder. I never figured why Mr Bean got big. Not my taste. Still, he can be like Cleese n how good he is.

Now, not to say america hasnt had great comics, but you would find they are also absurdist / sarcasitc as well. The best IMO was Groucho Marx. If you can ever do so, Charlie Chapman's silent movies are ridulously funny as well to watch.

Blackadder, Fawtly Towers and the Young Ones are probably my favourite comedies (in that order). Although some of the time periods of Blackadder weren't always that good... I loved the one with Queen Elizabeth in tho :D
