ok, so basicly I did a major dodo doo doo tonight with a server I tinker with...
I have a small server running slackware that I have access to root... now I know that it's not a good idea to be logged in as root to do work because you could do silly things... so I was going to be *smart* and give my user ID ownership of everything in Apache's public folder...
I exectued the following statement:
chown -R user htdocs
and now my little website is all locked out, everything is giving a 403 Forbidden error.
So... laugh at me and make fun... but only after you tell me what I did and how to fix it.
