See what had happened was, I'm at work right now and I have this freaking huge report all typed up. Deal is, I need to save it to a disk. This report is 2,130 KB. I can't save it onto a 3 1/2 inch disk, there is no zip drive, and this computer does not burn CDs. How can I get this thing to where I can save it?
The report is basically finished, but it's a group thing, so my partners have to see it too, and I won't see them until maybe 11pm. It's 8:23 right now where I am.

Winzip? E-mail it somewhere that has a CD writer?
What about seperating it? YOu could take it to who wants to see it, and paste the pieces back together.

You can email it to me using your school account. That way it'll be in the "sent messages" folder on your computer. If not, I can send it back, and we both have a copy of it. Just make sure you send it to the school account, not the yahoo one.

Um, actually, the thingy didn't send. It was too big. I'm printing it now. I just hope none of my group members wants to rewrite any of it. ^_^;

Winzip works wonders on all text type files; Word, Wordperfect, etc...

No big, too big...well...at least we've figured out how to transport this thing. Hey, if one of 'em wants it re-written, make that guy do it. :D

They're both girls.
Oh, and it seems this computer doesn't have WinZip either.
EDIT: I chopped it up into pieces. It now resides on two disks. This will be fun to put back together, believe you me.

Fett's idea of splitting it into two parts was a sound one. That way you wouldn't have to retype it.
Just save one half of the paper as <filename>01 and save that onto one floppy, and the second half name <filename>02 and save that onto another floppy.

Here is the final result
Parts 1, 3, and 2d are on one disk
Parts 2a, 2b, and 2c are on the other disk. how incredibly odd.

You could always pull out the hard drive and remount it into a different computer temporarily. :)
But, yea... splitting the file should work... you'll likely have to reset all of the formatting, depending upon how you saved it.

I surely hope not. I like the idea about the hard drive, but I have not enough know-how nor enough time before my supervisor would come out and kill me. I'm off work, btw. Now am at computer lab.
