View Full Version : My cat was just put to sleep.

After a week of basically hell trying to keep him alive, we had him put to sleep. He was, overally, aside from the nervous damage from the car, in pretty good spirits.
But he had a 20% chance of recovery and he wasn't eating.
I realize the above isn't exactly the most coherent posts, but the amount of good sleep I've gotten amounts to nearly nothing.
I miss you Soot.

I know how you feel too, buddy. :( *huggles* I had to do the same thing for my kitty who lived to be 20 years old. It's a really sad thing and hard to deal with.
Hope you feel better, Morg....

So do I, I lost my cat to an automobile month before last. It is a hard thing to lose a pet. Especially when they are really close to you. My cat used to wait for me at the front door every morning and walk with me to my car meowing all the way, having a little conversation before I got in and went to work.
Yeah miss that little guy.

*hugs* had the same with my dog and cat, Misty came home after beng missing for a few days all dirty and her teeth broken, she was so gone that we had to put her sleep even though we really didn't want to...my dog, got really slow and sluggish before his stomach swelled up, took him in, vet figured out after a few visits, he had cancer, we had a few weeks with him he thought, Petrie went into severe seizures the next day and had to be put down....sad how you notice so much more how much you loved after they're gone..... :cry

That sucks. Sorry to hear that Morg. I've never had a pet to lose so I can't pretend to know what it feels like but I've heard it's like losing a member of the family. :\

I'm so sorry to hear about your loss, Morg. I know how much Soot meant to ya. :(
It's hard to think of a way to alleviate the pain. All I can do is remind you that Soot is no longer suffering and offer you my friendship (and a shoulder to lean on).
