The system is new to Imperial warships and tests have been promising but as yet, the Centurion is the only combat ship to be fitted with the system as it it too bulky for even the Mark V Star Destroyer. The SSD Intimidator has been fitted with the system.*

Design Specifications
The Centurion was designed not to replace the existing Destroyer Corps, but to suppliment it. Currently, though Destroyers alone pose a distinct threat to any enemy, they can be surmounted by massed attackers. It is as well designed to act as a practical waypoint between the Super-class Command ships and the Destroyer family of warships.
The Centurion is designed as most Destroyers and set up in a similar fashion. However, she is not a wedge or dagger form. She is set up as a diamond, with each aft seam angularly bent in to create six hull fronts - two bow, and four aft. The main landing and launch bay is forward on the ventral hull, with one massive maw taking the place of the standard two.
At nearly three and a half kilometers in length, the Centurion is larger than any other vessel which is tasked as a ship of the line. While she has the ability to act as a command and control center, she was designed for combat. Bristling with heavy and light weaponry, the new Destroyer is completely able to dispatch an enemy formation alone.
However, should the need arise for reserves, the Destroyer holds an impressive fighter compliment as well as two Avenger-class monitors. A full compliment of blasboats and gunboats as well adds to the battle prowess of the combat craft.
The first prototype was the Battleship Glorious. This vessel was assigned to Rear Admiral Park Kraken who misused her. Accompanying the onset of the Admiral's senility, the Glorious was taken to Trebizond for refits and repairs. Serious design flaws such as faulty air circulation ducts and failing power nodes were fixed. As such, those already installed in the second vessel, Relentless, were worked out and repaired.
Relentless was launched from Thyferra and joined the Glorious for a shakedown tour around the border of the Empire, departing Thyferra for Ison, Eriadu, Carida, and then back to the capital. The Relentless then ferried several members of High Command to Bestine for a tour of inspection. It is there during that inspection that they are expected to meet their first combat action.
A third Centurion has been launched and named the Termagant in honour of its competent and vicious female captain, Countess Aliman de la Vera. The ship completed trials and is currently deployed to Thyferra as part of the defense force/assault reserve.
